1957–58 Dundee F.C. Season
The 1957–58 season was the fifty-sixth season in which Dundee competed at a Scottish national level, playing in Division One, where the club would finish in 11th place. Dundee would also compete in both the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup. They would be knocked out in the group stage of the League Cup, and in the third round of the Scottish Cup by Aberdeen. The club would change their sock colours back to navy, cementing their iconic look for the next decade. Pittodrie Stadium, commonly referred to as Pittodrie, is an all-seater stadium in Aberdeen, Scotland. Used primarily for football, it has been the home ground of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) club Aberdeen F.C. since they were formed in 1903. Bayview Park, Methil
Bayview Park was a football stadium in the town of Methil, Fife, Scotland. It was the home ground of East Fife F.C. from their formation in 1903 until they moved to the new Bayview Stadium in 1998. History The ground was previously known as Town Hall Park when it became the home of a local junior club, Leven Thistle, in 1902. When East Fife were formed in 1903 as a new senior club to represent the Levenmouth area, they took over the venue, which subsequently led to the demise of Leven Thistle. Town Hall Park was renamed as Bayview Park (due to its location near Largo Bay) and reopened with a match against Heart of Midlothian on 15 August 1903. Davie Sneddon
David Sneddon MBE (24 April 1936 – 24 December 2020) was a Scottish football player and manager. His career is notable for managing Kilmarnock to their 1979 Tennent Caledonian Cup victory and also being part of the 1964–65 Scottish First Division winning Kilmarnock side. Sneddon was capped once by the Scotland national under-23 football team. Albert "Bert" Henderson (1931–2008) was a Scottish football player and manager. Henderson attended Aberdeen Grammar School before going on to play for Dundee and St Mirren. Henderson helped Dundee win the 1952–53 Scottish League Cup. He was transferred to St Mirren in 1961 for £2,000, but a knee injury curtailed his playing career a year later. He then became manager of Arbroath in October 1962, a position he held until January 1980.
