Dornblaser Field
Dornblaser Field is the name of two outdoor athletic stadiums in the western United States, located in Missoula, Montana. Both were former home fields of the University of Montana Grizzlies football teams and were named for Paul Dornblaser, a captain of the football team in 1912 who was killed in World War I. 1957 Air Force Falcons Football Team
The 1957 Air Force Falcons football team represented the United States Air Force Academy as an independent during the 1957 NCAA University Division football season. For its first three years, the academy was housed at Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado, adjacent to Denver, until August 1958. Until Falcon Stadium opened in 1962, Air Force played home games at DU Stadium at the University of Denver. Led by second-year head coach Buck Shaw, it was the third season for the football program. The Falcons finished with a record of 3–6–1. Air Force did not play Army or Navy this season; Army was first played in 1959 and Navy in 1960. The ''Albuquerque Journal'' is the largest newspaper in the U.S. state of New Mexico. History The ''Golden Gate'' newspaper was founded in June 1880. In the fall of 1880, the owner of the ''Golden Gate'' died and Journal Publishing Company was created. Journal Publishing changed the paper name to ''Albuquerque Daily Journal'' and issued its first edition of the ''Albuquerque Daily Journal'' on October 14, 1880. Zimmerman Field
Zimmerman Field was a stadium located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It opened in 1938 and hosted the University of New Mexico Lobos football team until they moved to University Stadium in 1960. The stadium continued in use for intramural sports until 1969, when it was demolished to make way for new academic facilities. The stadium held 16,000 people at its peak and was located on the central campus just south of Zimmerman Library, where Ortega Hall, the Humanities building and Woodward Hall currently stand. It featured a three-story Pueblo Revival-style grandstand designed by John Gaw Meem on the west side of the field, located where the CERIA building currently stands. The stadium was constructed using Public Works Administration funds on the site of University Field, which had been in use by the football team since 1892. The 1957 New Mexico Lobos football team represented the University of New Mexico in the Skyline Conference during the 1957 NCAA University Division football season. In their second and final season under head coach Dick Clausen, the Lobos compiled a 4–6 record (2–4 against Skyline opponents), finished fifth in the conference, and were outscored by opponents by a total of 144 to 140. The Lobos won four of five games to open the season, but closed the season with five consecutive losses. The team's statistical leaders included Chuck Roberts with 305 passing yards and Don Perkins with 744 rushing yards and 162 receiving yards. In May 1958, Dick Clausen retired as New Mexico's head football coach to become the athletic director at the University of Arizona. Clausen was immediately replaced by Marv Levy.
