1956–57 Lancashire Cup
1956–57 was the forty-fourth occasion on which the Lancashire Cup completion had been held. Oldham won the trophy by beating St. Helens by the score of 10-3 The match was played at Central Park, Wigan, (historically in the county of Lancashire). Oldham R
Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester. Widnes Vikings
The Widnes Vikings are an English rugby league club in Widnes, Cheshire, which competes in the Betfred Championship. The club plays home matches at the Halton Stadium. Stewart Marshall "Steve" Llewellyn (29 February 1924 – 10 December 2002) was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. Hilton Park (stadium)
Hilton Park was a multi-purpose stadium in Leigh, Greater Manchester, Leigh, Greater Manchester, England. It was the home of Leigh Centurions, Leigh RLFC rugby league club and Leigh Genesis F.C., Leigh Genesis Association football, football club. It had a capacity of approximately 10,000. The Leigh Leopards are a professional rugby league club based in Leigh, Greater Manchester, England, who compete in the Betfred Super League.
