1954 In Fine Arts Of The Soviet Union
The year 1954 was marked by many events that left an imprint on the history of Soviet and Russian Fine Arts. Events * February 12 — Regional State picture gallery opened in city of Vologda. Works of prominent Russian and foreign artists are presented in collection of gallery. Evgenia Petrovna Antipova (russian: Евге́ния Петро́вна Анти́пова; 19 October 1917 – 27 January 2009) was a Russian Soviet painter, watercolorist, graphic artist, and Art teacher, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation), lived and worked in Leningrad – Saint Petersburg and regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad School of Painting.
