1954 Albanian Cup
1954 Albanian Cup ( sq, Kupa e Shqipërisë) was the eighth season of Albania's annual cup competition. It began in Spring 1954 with the First Round and ended in May 1954 with the Final match. Dinamo Tirana were the defending champions, having won their fourth Albanian Cup last season. The cup was won by Dinamo Tirana. The rounds were played in a one-legged format similar to those of European competitions. If the number of goals was equal, the match was decided by extra time and a penalty shootout, if necessary. First round First and second legs were played in March, 1954. Quarter-finals In this round entered the 8 winners from the previous round. Semi-finals In this round entered the four winners from the previous round. Futboll Club Dinamo Tirana is an Albanian professional football club based in the country's capital Tirana. They play in the Kategoria e Parë, the second tier of Albanian football, in the 2022–23 season. Founded in 1950 during the communist regime, the club was historically affiliated to the Interior Ministry and having won 18 National Championships, it is considered to be the second most decorated club after local rivals KF Tirana. History The club was officially founded on 3 March 1950 by the Interior Ministry of Albania during the communist regime under dictator Enver Hoxha. They won four consecutive championships from 1950 to 1953. During this time, Dinamo recorded a hot streak of 25 consecutive wins, a record in Albanian football and 4th longest domestic winning streak in Europe. Klubi I Futbollit Vllaznia Shkodër, commonly known as Vllaznia is an Albanian football club based in the city of Shkodër. It is the association football branch of the Vllaznia Sports Club, which was founded on 16 February 1919. It is also the oldest club in Albania which means it is the first club created in Albania.
