Frederick IX Of Denmark
Frederick IX ( da, Christian Frederik Franz Michael Carl Valdemar Georg; 11 March 1899 – 14 January 1972) was List of Danish monarchs, King of Denmark from 1947 to 1972. Born into the House of Glücksburg, Frederick was the elder son of Christian X of Denmark, King Christian X and Alexandrine of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Queen Alexandrine of Denmark. He became crown prince when his father succeeded as king in 1912. As a young man, he was educated at the Royal Danish Naval Academy. In 1935, he was married to Princess Ingrid of Sweden and they had three daughters, Margrethe II of Denmark, Margrethe, Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, Anne-Marie. Carl Andreas Koefoed
Carl Andreas Koefoed (known in Russian as , ''Andrey Andreyevich Kofod''; 16 October 1855, Skanderborg, Denmark – 7 February 1948, Copenhagen) was a Danish agronomist active in the Russian Empire in the early 20th century. He was the brother of Danish chemist Emil Koefoed. Koefoed emigrated to Russia at the age of 23, where he used his training in agronomy to work on agrarian reform. He came to play an important role in the Stolypin reform, an attempt to overhaul the traditional ''obshchina'' form of agriculture. When the October Revolution and the subsequent Russian Civil War broke out in 1917, Koefoed fled via the Trans-Siberian Railroad, eventually returning to Denmark. In 1909, he was made a knight in the Danish Order of the Dannebrog. In 1925, he was awarded the Order's Cross of Honor, and in 1932, he was named Commander Second Class in the Order. Peter Rochegune Munch (in Danish usually referred to as ''P. Munch'') (30 April 1870 – 8 July 1948) was a prominent Danish historian and politician. He was a leading member of the ''Radikale Venstre'', and represented Langeland in parliament. As Foreign Minister of Denmark from 1929 to 1940, he greatly influenced Danish foreign policy well beyond his own time in office. Hans Engell (born 8 October 1948) is a Denmark, Danish former politician and journalist, who until 6 September 2007 was the editor-in-chief of the tabloid ''Ekstra Bladet'', a position he had held for seven years. As a member of the Conservative People's Party (Denmark), Conservative People's Party, he was Defence Minister of Denmark between 1982 and 1987, Justice Minister of Denmark, Justice Minister between 1989 and 1993, and leader of the party from 1993 to 1997, until he retired in disgrace after a drunk-driving accident.
