Football Club Kramatorsk is a professional Ukrainian football club from the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast. The club takes its history from a factory team of the Old Kramatorsk Machine-building Plant (SKMZ). History The club Avangard was reformed in 1955. Prior to World War II there existed a club that was associated with the machine industry in the city. In 1937, the club participated in the national championship as the champion of Ukraine. In 1939, the team won the Cup of Soviet Ukraine. The team in 1936 won 1st place in Ukraine among working teams and in 1937, 1938 and 1961 reached the 1/16 finals of the Soviet Cup, and 1/8 finals of the Soviet Cup in 1939. FC Lokomotiv Kyiv is a football club from Kyiv, owned by the South Western Railway. It currently participates in various Kyiv city football competitions. It also fields several of its junior teams in the Ukrainian youth league. History Founded in 1919, as ZhelDor (''abbr. -Rail road''), soon after joining the Soviet Lokomotiv sports society it changed its name twice to Lokomotiv in 1936 and Lokomotiv Yuga in 1940. The team played its home games at its own stadium. The best record of competition was the 17th place in the 1938 Soviet Top League. Also, the club was multiple winner of the Kyiv championships. In 1947, soon after the World War II the senior team was disbanded, it later appeared only on the amateur level (regional). Football Championship Of The Ukrainian SSR
The Championship of the Ukrainian SSR in football was a top competition of association football in the Ukrainian SSR in 1921-91. Number of Ukrainian clubs almost never competed in the championship such as Dynamo Kyiv. The competitions were organized by the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR that was created in 1959 in place of the Football Section. Before 1980 selected teams of Moldavian SSR participated in the championship. Historical outlook Established as the All-Ukrainian inter-city competition in 1921, later it was included into number of All-Ukrainian Olympiads and Spartakiads. During several seasons the competitions were suspended due to football being identified as a ''"non-proletariat sport"''. Also because of a difficult social cataclysm in 1933 ( Holodomor), there was no competitions as well.
