5th Parliament Of Turkey
The 5th Grand National Assembly of Turkey existed from 8 February 1935 to 3 April 1939. There were 444 MPs in the parliament all of which were the members of the Republican People's Party (CHP). 5th parliament was the first Turkish parliament in which women deputies were elected (18 in total). Enver Ören
Enver Ören (10 February 1939, Honaz, Denizli – 22 February 2013, Şişli, Istanbul) was the founder of İhlas Holding. He was born in Turkey. He graduated from the Faculty of Science at Istanbul University in 1961. He was accepted to the premier military school of Turkey with a full scholarship and graduated top of his class. After graduating he went to Italy, on a NATO scholarship for one and a half years for further study and research. In the early 1970s he assumed the heavy responsibility of publishing a newspaper. Ören was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science by Selçuk University in Konya, Turkey for his contributions to the advancement of science and technology. He was also awarded the decade's most successful manager of a newspaper company (1980–1990) by the Ankara Association of Journalists. Leylâ Sayar (December 27, 1939 – July 22, 2016) was a Turkish actress, author, ballerina, beauty queen, and singer of Circassian and Macedonian Turkish descent. Özcan Arkoç
Özcan Arkoç (2 October 1939 – 17 February 2021) was a Turkish Association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper, most notably for German club Hamburger SV. Career Arkoç was born in Hayrabolu, Turkey in 1939. He began his football career at Vefa S.K., Vefa. He transferred to Fenerbahçe S.K. (football), Fenerbahçe in 1958 and to Beşiktaş J.K., Beşiktaş in 1962. With Fenerbahçe, he won two Süper Lig championships. He also played for FK Austria Wien, Austria Wien between 1964 and 1967. Çiğdem Talu
Çiğdem Talu (October 31, 1939 – May 28, 1983) was a Turkish pop music lyricist. The writer Ercüment Ekrem Talu was her grandfather. Çiğdem wrote her first song "''Ağlıyorum Yine''", which was sung by Nilüfer and released on her single, "''Kalbim Bir Pusula''". The great success of this song led her to write songs for many other singers, among them for Yeliz and Füsun Önal. Turkey participated at the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 held in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time, and three songs written by Talu were in the qualification in Ankara. That year, she met composer Melih Kibar and they started to make music together. Their first song, "''İşte Öyle Bir Şey''" sung by Erol Evgin was a great hit.
