The Campeonato Alagoano is the football league of the state of Alagoas, Brazil. Format 2020 First Division The Campeonato Alagoano is divided into three stages. *First stage: simple round-robin, in which all eight teams play each other once. Campeonato Fluminense
The Campeonato Fluminense was the football league of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the period when the Guanabara state and the Rio de Janeiro state where two separated states. Until 1960, Rio de Janeiro city was the Brazilian capital and was not part of Rio de Janeiro state. In 1960, with the inauguration of Brasília as the new capital of Brazil, the city of Rio de Janeiro became the new Guanabara state. Only in 1975 the states of Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara fused forming present day's Rio de Janeiro state, but the Campeonato Fluminense continued separately until 1978, after which all its clubs joined the city league, the Campeonato Carioca. Botafogo Sport Club, commonly known as Botafogo, is a Brazilian football club based in Salvador, Bahia state. They won the Campeonato Baiano seven times. History The club was founded on August 14, 1919. They won the Campeonato Baiano in 1919, 1922, 1923, 1926, 1930, 1935, and in 1938. The club participated in the Taça de Prata in 1980, when it finished in 62nd among 64 clubs. The club closed its football department in 1990, but reopened it in 2011 to compete in the Campeonato Baiano Second Level, when they were eliminated in the First Stage of the competition. The Campeonato Baiano is the football league of the state of Bahia, Brazil. The championship has been played since 1905 without interruption. 2020 format First stage: 10 teams are included in one group, playing once only against all teams in the group. The four best teams qualify to the semifinals, while the last-placed team is relegated to the Second Level. Final stage The four best teams play in a two-legged knockout tie, with the first facing the fourth and the second facing the third placed. The winner of each Semifinal qualify for the Finals, which occur in the same way. The winners of the finals are the champions.
