1938 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1938 Norwegian Football Cup was the 37th season of the Norway, Norwegian annual knockout association football, football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of Football Association of Norway, NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The 1938 Norwegian Football Cup final, final was played at Briskeby Arena, Briskeby in Hamar on 16 October 1938, and was contested by the defending champions Mjøndalen IF Fotball, Mjøndalen and the three-time former winners Fredrikstad FK, Fredrikstad. Fredrikstad secured their fourth title with a 3-2 win after extra time in the final. Fredrikstad's cup-victory completed the first Norwegian Double (association football), double, having also won the 1937–38 League of Norway, inaugural League of Norway. Football Association Of Norway
The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the men's and women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien and Toppserien). The current president of NFF is Lise Klaveness. By 1 January 2004, there were 1,814 clubs organized in Norway and 373,532 registered players. It is the largest sports federation in Norway. The NFF joined FIFA in 1908, and UEFA in 1954. The NFF was part of an unsuccessful joint bid with the SvFF, the DBU and the SPL to host the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. The SvFF invited the NFF to join them in bidding for the UEFA Euro 2016 championship. Skeid Fotball
Skeid is a Norwegian football club from Oslo that currently plays in 1. divisjon ( OBOS-ligaen), the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. Its current home field is Nordre Åsen, after the club stopped playing at Bislett after the 2012 season. In past decades it has gained a reputation as a talent factory for the larger clubs in Norwegian football, and it has produced several players for the national team such as Daniel Braaten, Daniel Fredheim Holm, Omar Elabdellaoui and Mohammed Abdellaoue. Ski- og Ballklubben Drafn is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Drammen, founded in 1910. The club, which takes its name from the Norse name of Drammen, was founded as a merger of the clubs Ulf (founded 1905) and Njord (founded 1906). Fotballklubben Donn is a Norwegian football club from the neighbourhood Lund in Kristiansand, most notable for its women's football team. It was founded on 24 June 1909 and named after a dog. Donn Toppfotball The women's football team Donn Toppfotball played in Toppserien, the highest tier of women's football in Norway, for two periods. The first spell was between 1993 and 1995, and the club also reached the final of the Norwegian Women's Cup in 1994 where they were beaten by Trondheims-Ørn. Orkanger Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Orkanger, Sør-Trøndelag. It has sections for association football, team handball, track and field, orienteering, Nordic skiing, swimming, gymnastics, powerlifting and dancing. It was founded on 1 January 1901. Sportsklubben Hardy was a multi-sports club from Bergen, Norway. The club had sections for athletics, football, handball, skiing and speed skating. The football team played top division league football from 1937 to 1948. During a period in the 1930s, Hardy was considered to be the best team from Bergen. They won the Bergen league championship (in Norwegian: Kretsserien) in 1933 and 1936. Brodd Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Stavanger. The club was founded on 25 April 1913 as ''BK Brodd''. It participated in competitions for the first time in 1915, and reached the inaugural League of Norway in 1937–38. Moss Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club, founded on 28 August 1906. They play in the 2. divisjon, the third highest division in the Norwegian football league system. They played in the Norwegian top flight between 1937-1939, 1953-1954, 1977-1985 (9 seasons), 1987-1990 (4 seasons), 1996 and 1998-2002. The club came close to earning promotion to the top flight in 2005, but lost the play-off against Molde. Stadium Moss play their home games at Melløs stadion, which has a capacity of around 10,000.
