Serie A
The Serie A (), also called Serie A TIM for national sponsorship with TIM, is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top of the Italian football league system and the winner is awarded the Scudetto and the Coppa Campioni d'Italia. It has been operating as a round-robin tournament for over ninety years since the 1929–30 season. It had been organized by the Direttorio Divisioni Superiori until 1943 and the Lega Calcio until 2010, when the Lega Serie A was created for the 2010–11 season. Serie A is regarded as one of the best football leagues in the world and it is often depicted as the most tactical and defensively sound national league. The Derby d'Italia (English: Derby of Italy) is the name of the football derby between Internazionale of Milan and Juventus of Turin. The term was coined back in 1967 by Italian sports journalist Gianni Brera. It is the equivalent of Spain's El Clásico and France's Le Classique. Umberto Busani
Umberto Busani (1 February 1915 – 29 October 1957) was an Italian footballer who played as a forward for a number of Italian clubs in the 1930s and 1940s, most notably S.S. Lazio and S.S.C. Napoli. Playing career Fast, talented and regarded as one of the best wingers in S.S.C. Napoli's history, he started his career at Chievo. He helped Chievo reach the final of the championship. He then moved on to Alexandria, for whom he made his Serie A debut on 22 September 1935. He played in the cup final played in Genoa on 11 June 1936, but his side lost against Turin. Pietro Ferraris (; 15 February 1912 – 11 October 1991) was an Italian footballer who played as a forward. Throughout his career, he won 6 Serie A titles with Ambrosiana-Inter and Torino, and the 1938 FIFA World Cup with the Italy national football team, where he scored Italy's fastest ever World Cup goal. Club career Ferraris was born in Vercelli, Piedmont. He was also known as "Ferraris II", to distinguish him from Mario Ferraris I. He made his club debut with Pro Vercelli (1929–32) on 10 November 1929, in a 3–1 away loss to Triestina, and scored his first Serie A goal on 13 April 1930, in a 6–0 home win over Triestina, once again. Silvio Piola (; 29 September 1913 – 4 October 1996) was an Italian footballer who played as a striker. Carlo Reguzzoni (; 18 January 1908 – 16 December 1996) was an Italian footballer who played as a winger. Club career Reguzzoni was born in Busto Arsizio, in the province of Varese, Lombardy. He made his Serie A debut with Pro Patria on 6 October 1929, in a 4–2 home win over Cremonese.
