Football (soccer)
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. Traditionally, the game has been played over two 45 minute halves, for a total match time of 90 minutes. With an estimated 250 million players active in over 200 countries, it is considered the world's most popular sport. The game of association football is played in accordance with the Laws of the Game, a set of rules that has been in effect since 1863 with the International Football Association Board (IFAB) maintaining them since 1886. Ezio Pascutti
Ezio Pascutti (; 1 June 1937 – 4 January 2017) was an Italian football manager and player, who played as a forward, either as a striker or as a winger. He spent his entire club career with Bologna, and represented Italy at two FIFA World Cups. Club career Although he was born in Mortegliano, Udine, Pascutti spent his entire club career with Bologna, playing 296 Serie A matches and scoring 130 goals in his 14 seasons with the club, from 1955 to 1969. In total, he made 336 appearances for Italian side (19 in the Coppa Italia, 3 in the European Cup, 12 in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, and 6 in the Mitropa Cup), scoring 142 goals in official matches (7 in the Coppa Italia, 1 in the European Cup, and 4 in the Mitropa Cup), making him the club's third-highest goalscorer of all time behind only Angelo Schiavio and Carlo Reguzzoni. Antonio Rattín
Antonio Ubaldo Rattín (born May 16, 1937) is a former Argentine football player, best known as a Boca Juniors midfielder, and because of an incident in a match at the 1966 FIFA World Cup. Rattín remains as one of the greatest idols of Boca Juniors, the only club where he played for 15 years, winning 5 titles. He also played for the Argentina national team, winning the Taça das Nações (Nations Cup) in 1964. Following the end of his professional sports career, Rattín became involved in politics, and, in 2001, was elected to the National Chamber of Deputies for the Federalist Unity Party list in Buenos Aires. Alex Young (footballer, Born 1937)
Alexander Young (3 February 1937 – 27 February 2017) was a Scottish international footballer. He played as a creative forward for Heart of Midlothian and Everton. He won league championship and cup titles with both clubs where he was also a regular goal scorer. Young later played for Glentoran and Stockport County. Internationally he played for the Scottish League and the Scotland national football team. In football folklore he has become known as 'The Golden Vision'. Early years Young was born in Loanhead, Midlothian. He described himself as shy from an understandably over-watchful mother having to cope with the death of a son five years older than Alex being fatally hit by a car. Young later said that as a youngster he grew up supporting the same team as his father, Motherwell. Vladimir "Vlatko" Marković (; 1 January 1937 – 23 September 2013) was a Croatian professional football manager and player who served as the president of the Croatian Football Federation from 1998 to 2012.
