The 5th Grand National Assembly of Turkey existed from 8 February 1935 to 3 April 1939. There were 444 MPs in the parliament all of which were the members of the Republican People's Party (CHP). 5th parliament was the first Turkish parliament in which women deputies were elected (18 in total). Åženol Birol
Şenol Birol (1936 – 3 March 2022) was a Turkish footballer who played as a forward, notably for Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe. Career Born in Rize, Birol started his professional career with Sarıyer S.K. and then transferred to Beşiktaş where he played four years between 1959 and 1963. Then he transferred to Fenerbahçe with his team mate Birol Pekel. He played with Fenerbahçe between 1963 and 1966. He also played with Karşıyaka S.K. (1966–67) and last he played with Beşiktaş in the 1967–68 season. Beşiktaş fans chanted Şenol-Birol Goal in his and Pekel's honour. Personal life Birol died on 3 March 2022, at the age of 86. Nuri Conker
Mehmet Nuri Conker (September 20, 1882 – January 11, 1937) was a Turkish politician and an officer of the Ottoman Army and the Turkish Army. Mehmet Nuri Conker was the oldest childhood and lifelong friend of Mustafa Kemal (Atatürk). Mehmet Nuri Conker was a graduate of the War Academy of the Ottoman Empire (Harp Akademisi). He retired as a Colonel (Kurmay Albay). Erol Çevikçe, (born 8 December 1937, Istanbul) is a Turkish politician. He serves as a CHP deputy, and a former Minister of Public Works and Transportation. Early life He went to Ela Cevikçe Kılıçaslan Elementary School and Amasya Secondary School. He is the son of Kazim Cevikçe and Cününoğulları, one of the oldest families of Amasya, who were the first teachers of the Republic. He graduated from Kabasas Boys' High School in Istanbul. Fahrettin Cüreklibatır (8 September 1937 – 28 June 2022), better known by his stage name Cüneyt Arkın, was a Turkish film actor, director, producer and martial artist. Uner Tan (''Turkish'': Üner Tan) (May 1, 1937 – February 6, 2022) was a Turkish neuroscientist and evolutionary biologist. He is best known for his discovery and study of the human quadrupedal condition he named the Uner Tan syndrome. He taught at Çukurova University until his retirement in 2004 and had previously taught at several other institutions. Biography Tan was born in Ünye, Turkey. He graduated from secondary school in Çorum and started college at Ege University, at the Faculty of Medicine, in 1956. He continued at Göttingen University and graduated from there and the Max-Planck Institute in 1966.
