The 1935 New York Yankees season was the team's 33rd season. The team finished with a record of 89–60, finishing 3 games behind the Detroit Tigers. New York was managed by Joe McCarthy. The original Yankee Stadium was a stadium located in The Bronx, the Bronx in New York City. Russell Van Atta (June 21, 1906 – October 10, 1986) was an American professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball with the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Browns over a seven-season career.
