1932–33 Yorkshire Cup
The 1932–33 Yorkshire Cup was the fifteenth occasion on which Rugby Football League's (RFL) Yorkshire Cup competition had been held. Leeds won the trophy by beating Wakefield Trinity by the score of 8-0 The match was played at Fartown, Huddersfield, now in West Yorkshire. The attendance was 17,685 and receipts were £1,183 This was Leeds' third of six victories in a period of ten years, during which time they won every Yorkshire Cup final in which they appeared Background This season there were no junior/amateur clubs taking part, no new entrants and no "leavers" and so the total of entries remained the same at fifteen. Leeds Rhinos
The Leeds Rhinos are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1870 as Leeds St John's and play in the Super League, the top tier of English rugby league. They have played home matches at Headingley Stadium since 1890. In 1895, Leeds was one of twenty-two rugby clubs that broke away from the Rugby Football Union and formed what was originally the Northern Union, but is now the Rugby Football League. The club was known simply as Leeds until the end of the 1996 season, when they added Rhinos to their name. Featherstone Rovers
Featherstone Rovers are a professional rugby league club in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, England, who play in the Championship (rugby league), Championship. Featherstone is a former coal mining town with a population of around 16,000 and Rovers are one of the last "small town teams" which were common in rugby league in the early 20th century. The club has produced many junior players who have gone on to play for Super League clubs. Their local rivals are Castleford Tigers, Castleford and Wakefield Trinity, and in the Championship, Halifax R.L.F.C., Halifax. Jeff Moores ( – 17 Jul 1989) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. He played at representative level for Queensland Firsts, Rugby League XIII and Dominion XIII, and at club level for Western Suburbs (Brisbane) (captain), Leeds ( Heritage No. 489) and York, as a , or , i.e. number 3 or 4, or 6. Playing career International honours Moores was a member of the RFL's England, Wales and Dominion selects team that claimed a 25–18 victory over France in Headingley on 6 May 1935, in celebration of King George V's Silver Jubilee.
