Swedish Ice Hockey Champions
The Swedish ice hockey champions ( sv, Svenska mästare i ishockey) is a title awarded annually to the winning playoff team of the top-tier ice hockey league in Sweden, which currently is the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) since 1975. It was first awarded to IK Göta in 1922, the championship's inaugural year. The championship's present SHL format did not take into effect until the league was originally formed for the 1975–76 season under the name of Elitserien. A team who wins the Swedish Championship is awarded the Le Mat Trophy. Djurgårdens IF holds the most titles in history with 16 titles, but Färjestad BK, who's played all 45 seasons of the current top-tier league, is the most successful SHL team with ten championship titles. The most recent Swedish Champions are also Färjestad BK, who won their tenth title in club history in 2022. Södertälje SK
Södertälje Sportklubb, also known as Södertälje SK and often referred to as SSK, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club playing in HockeyAllsvenskan, the second highest level of pro hockey in Sweden. Södertälje were charter members of Elitserien when the league was founded in 1975 and have since played 24 seasons in the league (1975–1978, 1980–1981, 1983–1992, 1996–1998, 2001–2006, 2007–2011). IFK Stockholm is multi-sports club in Stockholm, Sweden. It is most known for its football team. Background The club was formed 1 February 1895 as IF Kamraterna (IFK) by two young students, Louis Zettersten and Pehr Ehnemark, and was the first IFK club. The club soon changed name to IFK Stockholm to differentiate it from the other IFK clubs that were formed in various towns in Sweden. IK Göta
IK Göta is a Sweden, Swedish sports club, which was very successful in several sports such as track and field, handball, bowling, field hockey, ice hockey, soccer (women only) and bandy during the 20th century. Their most famous and successful sport was ice hockey. They won the List of Swedish ice hockey champions, Swedish ice hockey championship nine times, including the 1922 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship, inaugural championship in 1922. The club was also operating bandy teams, both women's and men's, winning the List of Swedish bandy champions, Swedish men's championship in bandy once, in 1927. In women's bandy they were far more successful, winning eight times, the last time in 1984.
