The 1931–32 1re série season was the 16th season of the 1re série, the top level of ice hockey in France. Stade Français won their first championship. Ligue Magnus
The Ligue Magnus, currently known as Synerglace Ligue Magnus for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's division of the French ice hockey pyramid, established in 1906. The league operated under a variety of names before taking that of its championship trophy, the Magnus Cup, in 2004. The trophy was in turn named for Frenchman and IIHF founder Louis Magnus. Format 12 teams play a 44-game regular season. The schedule is fully balanced and there are no geographic conferences. Regulation wins are worth 3 points, as per international rules. The top 8 teams qualify for the Magnus Cup playoffs, with all series contested in a best-of-seven format. The remaining 4 teams play a 6-game round-robin, at the end of which the last-place team is relegated. The Magnus Cup champions qualify for the following season's Champions Hockey League. Club Des Sports D’Hiver De Paris
Club des Patineurs de Paris was an ice hockey team in Paris, France. They played in the Ligue Magnus, top-level of French ice hockey from 1906-1937. History The club was founded on February 20, 1896 as a figure skating association. The hockey section was created in 1902. They were founding members of the Ligue Magnus, French Ice Hockey Championship for the 1906-07 season. They were defeated by SC Lyon (ice hockey), SC Lyon in the final by a score 8-2. In the 1908 season, they played against SC Lyon on a neutral site in Chamonix, and won their first French championship by defeating them 8=2. After the 1908 season, the ice rink in Lyon was closed, which forced SC Lyon to disband. The championship was abandoned until 1912 as a result. When it was restarted, Patineurs won the next three titles, in 1912, 1913, and 1914. The club was disbanded at the start of World War I. Racing Club de France was an ice hockey team in Paris, France. They were a member of the Racing Club de France sports association. History The club first participated in the 1re série during the 1931-32 season. They lost to Stade Français in the final, 3–2 in overtime. The following season, Racing Club was again defeated by Stade Français in the final, this time by a score of 1–0. Chamonix Hockey Club was a French professional ice hockey team based in Chamonix that last played in the Ligue Magnus in 2015. The team is also known as "Chamois de Chamonix" (Chamonix Chamois).
