1931 Baltic Cup
The 1931 Baltic Cup was held in Tallinn, Estonia at Kadrioru staadion from 30 August to 1 September 1931. It was the fourth time three Baltic countries — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — came together to play a friendly tournament and determine the best team amongst them. Eduard Ellman-Eelma
Eduard Eelma (7 April 1902 – 16 November 1941) until 1937 Eduard-Vilhelm Ellmann, was an Estonian footballer — one of the most famous before World War II. He played 59 times for Estonia national football team scoring 21 goals. He debuted on 23 July 1921, against Sweden. He participated in Summer Olympics in Paris 1924. He spent most of his playing career at Tallinna JK. Eduard Eelma's international career lasted from 1921 to 1935 and his goalscoring record of 21 international goals was only beaten in 2002, by Indrek Zelinski and later by Andres Oper. Eduard Eelma was arrested by NKVD in Tallinn in summer 1941, sentenced to death and executed in Prison No. 1 in Kirov on 16 November 1941. Leonhard Kass
Leonhard Heinrich Kass (22 October 1911 – 23 November 1985) was an Estonian football player who played as a left winger. He won the Estonian Championship eight times and the Estonian Cup twice. Internationally, Kass made 40 appearances for the Estonia national football team since his debut in 1931, and scored 8 goals. He won the 1931 and the 1938 Baltic Cup with the team. Jānis Škincs
Jānis Škincs (21 October 1911 – 16 November 1987) was a Latvian footballer, a four-time champion of Latvia. Škincs was known as one of the fastest forwards in Latvian football. Biography Skinčs spent the first years of his football career with Olimpija Liepāja. He first played for the senior squad of Olimpija in 1928, the year the club won its second Latvian Higher League title. In the years he played with Olimpija Skinčs won two more league titles – in 1929 and in 1933. In addition Skinčs became with Olimpija a three-time winner of the Riga Football Cup. In the year he won his last league title for Olimpija (1933), Skinčs was the club's best goalscorer in the league (with 11 goals, Artūrs Ķikuts had 10 goals). After the 1934 season Ķikuts left Olimpija for RFK. Ēriks Pētersons
Ēriks Pētersons (1909 in Riga – 1987 in United States) was Latvian footballer and hockey player. Between 1929 and 1939 he played 63 international matches and scored 21 goals for Latvia national team. He also played in Latvian national ice hockey team, where he appeared in eight matches. After World War II Pētersons moved to United States. Biography Ēriks Pētersons was first noticed in 1928 when he moved from a third league team directly to the strongest football club in Latvia— Rīgas FK. He started as a center forward but soon changed his position on the field to central midfield in which he still retained his goal scoring abilities. All his career Pētersons played for a single club - RFK.
