General elections were held in Costa Rica on 12 February 1928. Cleto González Víquez
Cleto de Jesús González Víquez (13 October 1858 – 23 September 1937) was, on two occasions, the President of Costa Rica, firstly as the 18th president in 1906 and lastly as the 26th president in 1928. ''Don Cleto'' was born in Barva, Heredia on October 13, 1858, as the son of Cleto González Pérez and Aurora Víquez Murillo. He was a renowned Costa Rican politician, lawyer, and historian. He married in 1889 to Adela Herrán Bonilla and died in San José, Costa Rica on September 23, 1937. Cleto González Víquez was given the title of ''Benemérito de la Patria'' on October 5, 1944. Máximo Fernández (Rail station Juan F. Salaberry) is a hamlet in Bragado county, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is the "Cuartel VIII", 25 km away from the city of Bragado, located on the highway between La Limpia and San Emilio. In Máximo Fernández there are 2 public elementary schools. The Republican Party ( es, Partido Republicano, PR) was a political party in Costa Rica. History The party first contested national elections in 1902, when Máximo Fernández Alvarado was its presidential candidate. Santa Ana (canton)
Santa Ana is the ninth canton in the San José province of Costa Rica. It is located in the Central Valley. The canton borders the Alajuela canton to the north, the Mora canton to the south and west, the Escazú canton to the east, as well as the Belén canton to the north east. The canton has the highest Human Development Index of any canton in Costa Rica as of 2021 with a HDI of 0.935. Toponymy The first mention of the name appears in the Protocols of Cartago on December 1, 1658, when part of the land which now conforms the canton became property of José de Alvarado and Petronilla de Retes after their marriage. The name of the lands comes from the original owner of the lands, Jerónimo de Retes y López de Ortega, father of Petronilla. Jorge Volio Jiménez (August 26, 1882 – October 20, 1955) was a Costa Rican priest, soldier and politician. Biography Jorge Volio was born August 26, 1882, in Cartago, Costa Rica to Carlos Volio Llorente and Matilde Jiménez Oreamuno. In 1901, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree, baccalaureate in humanities with distinction (''bachiller en humanidades con Distinción Unánime'') from the Liceo de Costa Rica. In 1903, he traveled to Belgium to study at the León XII Seminary of the Catholic University of Leuven (1834–1968), University of Leuven. The Distance State University () (UNED), is one of five public universities in the Republic of Costa Rica. It is in Sabanilla, Montes de Oca.
