Adam Walsh (American Football)
Adam Walsh (December 4, 1901 – January 13, 1985) was an American football player and coach. He played college football as a center at the University of Notre Dame where he was an All-American and captain of the 1924 team under Knute Rockne. Walsh then served as the head football coach at Santa Clara University from 1925 to 1928 and at Bowdoin College from 1935 to 1942 and again from 1947 to 1958, compiling a career college football record of 80–85–11. He also coached the Cleveland / Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL) in 1945 and 1946, tallying a mark of 15–5–1. Walsh was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1968. Honolulu Stadium
Honolulu Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium located in the Moiliili district of Honolulu, Hawai'i, at the corner of King and Isenberg Streets. Opened in 1926, it was the primary sports venue in Hawaii preceding Aloha Stadium. During its final years, the stadium could hold about 25,000 fans; it was demolished in 1976. The 1927 Saint Mary's Gaels football team was an American football team that represented Saint Mary's College of California during the 1927 college football season. In their seventh season under head coach Slip Madigan, the Gaels compiled a 7–2–1 record, shut out seven opponents, won the Far Western Conference championship, and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 155 to 28. The Gaels' victories including a 16-0 besting of Stanford. The Gaels also lost to California, 13–0.
