Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 campaign, being currently on the 29th place in UEFA's league coefficient ranking list. It is administered by the Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal, also known by the acronym LPF. Before the 2006–07 season, the competition was known as ''Divizia A'', but the name had to be changed following the finding that someone else had registered that trademark. 	Mureșul Târgu Mureș CS Mureșul Târgu Mureș was a Romanian football club based in Târgu Mureș. They reached twice the semifinals of Romania's top football league, Divizia A. They are the predecessors of CS Târgu Mureş. History Mureşul Târgu Mureş (named after the Mureș River, located in Târgu Mureș) was created in 1921 under the name SS Mureşul Târgu Mureş. In 1923, they joined to the CFR Târgu Mureş, Sports Club of railway workers, under the name CFR Mureşul Târgu Mureş. Same year, the club won the district championship Târgu Mureş and qualified for the final round of the Romanian championship. After victories against the Șoimii Sibiu and Venus București they reached the semifinals, but was defeated by Chinezul Timișoara with 0–9. 	Chinezul Timișoara Chinezul Timișoara was a football club that played both in the Romanian and the Hungarian championship during its existence. It was based in Timișoara, Romania (at the time of foundation Temesvár, Austria-Hungary). History The club was established in 1910 under the name ''Temesvári Kinizsi SE'' with the support of the local Rail Workers' Association. It was named after Pál Kinizsi, a general in the army of king Matthias Corvinus and Comes of Temes. The crest of the club also reflected to it, as it featured an arm holding a mill stone. This was related to old Hungarian folk tales which stated that Pál Kinizsi was a very strong miller who offered the king a glass of water on a mill stone with one hand instead of a platter. 	Șoimii Sibiu Șoimii Sibiu (Falcons Sibiu) was a football team from Sibiu. They were founded in 1913 and disappeared in 2001. They were a main team in Sibiu, being four times regional champions of Sibiu. Their best pre-war performance was defeating the 6-time-in-a-row champion Chinezul Timişoara in 1927–28 quarter-finals. But after that they forfeited their semi-final tie against Jiul Lupeni. They also played three seasons in the Divizia A : 1932–33, 1933–34, 1950, but without notable performances.
