Divizia A
Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1 and officially known as SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Romania and the highest level of the Romanian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 Divizia A, 1909–10 campaign, being currently 25th in UEFA's UEFA coefficient#League coefficient, league coefficient ranking list. It is administered by the Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal, also known by the acronym LPF. CA Oradea
Club Atletic Oradea (Nagyváradi Atlétikai Club) (), commonly known as CA Oradea (Nagyváradi AC), or simply as CAO (NAC), is a Romanian Association football, football club based in Oradea, Bihor County, which competes in the Liga IV. The team was founded as ''Nagyváradi Atlétikai Club'' in 1910, when the city was part of Austria-Hungary. Over its history, CA Oradea won the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, Hungarian national title, the Liga I, Romanian national title, and the Cupa României, Romania national cup on one occasion each. The Romanian title won during the 1948–49 Divizia A, 1948–49 season, under the name of ''ICO Oradea'', meant that the team became part of a select group of entities that won the national title in different countries. Paul Schiller (born 1899, date of death unknown) was a Romanian footballer who played as a striker. International career Paul Schiller played in the first official match of Romania's national team, a 2–1 victory against Yugoslavia at the 1922 King Alexander's Cup. He also played in a friendly against Czechoslovakia which ended with a 4–1 loss. Emerich Vogl
Emerich (Imre) Vogl (born 12 August 1905 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary (now Romania) – died 29 October 1971 in Bucharest, Romania) was a Romanian football player and coach of Banat Swabian ethnicity who was a member of Romanian team which participated at the 1930 World Cup from Uruguay and the 1934 edition in Italy. Club career Vogl was born on 12 August 1905 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary, growing up in the Mehala neighborhood, then playing as a youth for local club, Chinezul between 1921 and 1922. In 1922, at age 17, Vogl made his debut for the senior team and until 1924 he played on different positions, before settling as a central midfielder. Ferenc Rónay
Ferenc Rónay or Francisc Rónay (29 April 1900 – 6 April 1967) was a Hungarian-Romanian footballer and manager. Rónay was the first ever scorer of the Romania national football team, giving them the equaliser against Yugoslavia in their debut, part of the 1922 King Alexander's Cup. Romania went on to win the game 2–1 thanks to Aurel Guga. He was also part of Romania's squad for the football tournament at the 1924 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches. He played for most of his career in Club Atletic Oradea jersey, club for which he played in over 120 matches and scored over 130 goals. Mihai Tänzer
Mihai Tänzer () (7 February 1905 – 22 September 1993) was a Romanian footballer of Danube Swabian (German) ethnicity, he also had Hungarian citizenship when he played in Hungary. Club career In the early 1920s, Timișoara " Chinezul" dominated the Romanian football scene, even winning against important teams from the rest of Europe. Mihai Tänzer made his first senior appearance, at the age of 16, on the first team of the club, which already had 83 players. He soon found his place among the stalwarts as Ritter, Hoksary, Steiner, Wetzer, Semler and Vogl. A midfielder, in a few years he became one of the best European players in this position. Mureșul Târgu Mureș
CS Mureșul Târgu Mureș was a Romanian football club based in Târgu Mureș. They reached twice the semifinals of Romania's top football league, Divizia A. They are the predecessors of CS Târgu Mureş. History Mureșul Târgu Mureș ― named after the Mureș River on which Târgu Mureș lies ― was created in 1921 under the name SS Mureșul Târgu Mureș. In 1923, they joined to the CFR Târgu Mureș, Sports Club of railway workers, under the name CFR Mureșul Târgu Mureș. Same year, the club won the Târgu Mureș district championship and qualified for the final round of the 1923–24 Divizia A, Romanian Championship.
