Brentford is a suburban town in West London, England and part of the London Borough of Hounslow. It lies at the confluence of the River Brent and the Thames, west of Charing Cross. Dusty Rhodes (footballer)
Ephraim Rhodes (16 August 1882 – 30 September 1960) was an English professional footballer and manager who played in the Football League for Sunderland in the early 20th century. He also played for and managed Brentford in the Southern League and was posthumously inducted into the club's Hall of Fame in May 2015. Playing career Sunderland Born in South Bank, North Yorkshire, Rhodes began his career in his hometown at Northern League club South Bank. He moved to divisional rivals Grangetown Athletic in 1901 and finished runners-up in the Northern League during the 1901–02 season. Rhodes' performances earned him a move to reigning Football League First Division champions Sunderland in May 1902. He made only five appearances during the 1902–03 season, but slowly forced his way into the team during the 1903–04 season, making 16 appearances. Michael Whitham
Michael Whitham (6 November 1867 – 6 May 1924) was an English international footballer, who played as a right back. Born in Ecclesfield, Sheffield he played for both The Wednesday and Sheffield United where he spent seven years. Whitham gained one cap for England and went on to become a trainer at a number of clubs following his retirement from playing as well as a brief spell as manager of Gainsborough Trinity. Playing career Whitham started his career in and around the Sheffield area where he played semi-professionally for a number of clubs (often registered with more than one club during the same period as was allowed at the time.) After making one appearance for The Wednesday he turned fully professional and signed for Rotherham Swifts in 1889. Reginald Parker, sometimes erroneously cited as Richard Parker, was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Brentford, South Shields and Merthyr Town as a forward. Career After beginning his career in the northeast with Boldon Comrades, Parker joined Third Division South club Brentford during the 1922 off-season. After a slow start at inside forward, he came to prominence during the 1923–24 season, scoring 20 goals in 43 games and finishing as the team's top scorer. After switching to centre forward, Parker could muster only 9 goals in 42 appearances during the 1924–25 season. After scoring 35 goals in 104 appearances, Parker departed the Bees to join Second Division club South Shields.
