The King Alfonso XIII's Cup 1922 was the 22nd staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition started on 12 March 1922, and concluded on 14 May 1922, with the final, held at the Campo de Coia in Vigo, in which FC Barcelona lifted the trophy for the fifth time with a 5–1 victory over Real Unión thanks to goals from Ramón Torralba, Josep Samitier, Paulino Alcántara (2) and Clemente Grà cia. Alfonso XIII
Alfonso XIII (17 May 1886 – 28 February 1941), also known as El Africano or the African, was King of Spain from 17 May 1886 to 14 April 1931, when the Second Spanish Republic was proclaimed. He was a monarch from birth as his father, Alfonso XII, had died the previous year. Alfonso's mother, Maria Christina of Austria, served as regent until he assumed full powers on his sixteenth birthday in 1902. Alfonso XIII's upbringing and public image were closely linked to the military estate, often presenting himself as a soldier-king. His effective reign started four years after the so-called 1898 Disaster, with various social factions projecting their expectations of national regeneration upon him. Arenas Club De Getxo
Arenas Club de Getxo is a Spanish football club based in the town of Getxo, near Bilbao, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1909, it currently plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 2, holding home games at Campo Municipal de Gobela, with a 2,000-seat capacity. Alejo Zubiaga
Alejandro de Vivar (1635–1660), better known as Mestizo Alejo, was a Chilean mestizo, who fought in the Arauco War. He was the son of the Mapuche cacique Curivilú and the Spanish Isabel de Vivar y Castro who was captured during a Mapuche raid. Isabel and Alejo were rescued five years later and rejoined the Spanish society. Alejo enlisted the Spanish army, but the system of castas prevented his promotion. As a result, he deserted from the Spanish army and joined the Mapuches, being appointed toqui. Instructed in Spanish military strategy, he posed a serious threat to his former masters, but he died in a crime of passion: after he had sex with a captured Spanish woman his two wives murdered him. Pedro Barturen
Pedro Barturen Urigüen (1895 – Unknown), was a Spanish artist and footballer who played as a midfielder for Arenas Club. Club career Barturen played with Arenas Club for 7 years, playing a pivotal role in helping Arenas reach the Copa del Rey final on two occasions (1917 and 1919), losing the former to Madrid FC, but winning the latter after a 5–2 win over the powerful FC Barcelona. He also won three North Championships in 1916–17, 1918–19 and 1921–22. Pedro Vicente Saturnino Vallana Jeanguenat (29 November 1897 – 4 July 1980) was a Spanish Association football, footballer, Referee (association football), referee and Manager (association football), manager in Spain in the 1920s. He was of Italian and Swiss descent. He spent all 12 seasons of his playing career with Arenas Club de Getxo, Arenas de Getxo, during the club's golden age, thus being a historical player of the club and part of the so-called List of one-club men in association football, one-club men group. The Catalan football championship ''(Campionat de Catalunya)'' was a football competition in Catalonia and the first football league in Spain before La Liga was established in 1929. Real Sporting de Gijón, S.A.D. Real Fortuna Football Club, was a Spanish football club based in Vigo, Galicia, founded in 1905.
