Joe Berry (second Baseman)
Joseph Howard Berry Jr. (December 31, 1894 – April 27, 1976) was an American Major League Baseball second baseman and pinch runner for the New York Giants from 1921 to 1922. At the University of Pennsylvania, he was an All-American football fullback and an intercollegiate pentathlon champion. He served in the United States Army during World War I and in the United States Marine Corps as a liaison officer in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired from the Marines as a colonel. Early life and education Berry was born on December 31, 1894, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Northeast Manual Training School. He attended Muhlenberg College for one year and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania in 1915. Riggs Field
Riggs Field is a 6,500-capacity soccer-specific stadium located in Clemson, South Carolina. The stadium is home to the Clemson Tigers men's and women's soccer teams. It has also hosted the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship in 1987. The stadium opened for soccer in 1980, and was renovated in 1987, and again in 2013. Previous to this, it hosted a variety of the school's athletic teams, including the football team from 1915 until 1941 and the baseball team from 1916 until 1969. It is named after Walter Riggs, the former coach of the football team and president of Clemson (1910–1924). Riggs Field is the fifth oldest collegiate athletic facility in the nation. Franklin Field
Franklin Field is a sports stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the eastern edge of the University of Pennsylvania's campus. Eclipse Park
Eclipse Park was the name of three successive baseball grounds in Louisville, Kentucky in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They were the home of the Louisville baseball team first known as the Louisville Eclipse and later as the Louisville Colonels. The unusual name for these ballparks derived from the original name of the Association club, the Eclipse. The more local name "Colonels" eventually won out. Nonetheless, "Eclipse" was among the early team names to be a singular word, despite "sounding like" a plural. Semi-pro baseball had been played at the first Eclipse Park as early as 1874. The Louisville Eclipse played there from 1882 to 1884. The team was then renamed the Louisville Colonels and continued to play under that name from 1885 to 1893.
