1913–14 Prima Categoria
The 1913–14 Prima Categoria season was won by Casale. Regulation The Northern championship, which was the main tournament, was split in three groups of ten clubs, with eighteen matchdays, even if the Oriental group could not be filled. The best two clubs of each group went to the final group. Last clubs should be relegated. The experimental Southern groups had their own special regulations. Teams US Alessandria for Piedmont, Liguria for Ligury, Nazionale Lombardia for Lombardy, and Petrarca Padua had been promoted according to the national regulation. However, Lombard local committee also promoted Juve Italia and AC Milanese Lambro, while Venetian local committee also promoted Udinese. Following Baraldi-Baruffini agreement, three relegated clubs were re-elected, while Vigor Turin and Savona Calcio were also promoted. Finally, Como and Brescia FC were also invited to join. Luigi Barbesino
Luigi Barbesino (; 1 May 1894 – 20 April 1941) was an Italian association footballer and manager from Casale Monferrato in the region of Piedmont. A midfielder, he was a one club man in the truest sense of the term, spending his eight playing seasons at his home town club Casale, helping them to win their one and only Italian Football Championship title, and collecting 83 league appearances and 11 goals for the club between 1912 and 1920. Barbesino also represented Italy at international level, and represented his country in football at the 1912 Summer Olympics. He is officially the fourth-youngest international player to ever appear for Italy, behind only Rodolfo Gavinelli, Renzo De Vecchi, and Gianluigi Donnarumma; he made his international debut on 1 July 1912, in a 1–0 away win over hosts Sweden at the Summer Olympics that year, at the age of 18 years and 2 months. The club was founded in 2021 by the Novara, City of Novara to replace old Novara Calcio that lost its professional status. History In December 1908 the ''F.A.S. Brescia Calcio, commonly referred to as Brescia (), is an Italian football club based in Brescia, Lombardy, that currently plays in .
