Björn-Erik Höijer (14 March 1907 – 10 February 1996) was a Swedish novelist, short-story writer and playwright. Biography Björn-Erik Höijer was born at Malmberget, Sweden. Originally a handicraft teacher (''sloyd''), Höijer made his literary debut in 1940 with the short-story collection ''Grått berg''. Among his novels are ''Parentation'' from 1945 and ''Lavinen'' from 1961. Among his plays are ''Isak Juntti hade många söner'' from 1954 and ''En gruvarbetares död'' from 1990. Hedvig Raa-Winterhjelm
Hedvig Charlotta Raa-Winterhjelm, née Forssman (20 November 1838 – 7 March 1907), was a Swedish actress active in Sweden, Norway and Finland. She played a pioneer role in Finland by introducing Finnish as a stage language, becoming the first actor in Finland to speak her lines in the Finnish tongue. Early career Charlotta Raa-Winterhjelm was born as the daughter of a goldsmith in Stockholm in Sweden under the name Charlotte Forssman. She studied at the Royal Dramatic Training Academy in Stockholm in 1854–56, after which she toured in travelling theater companies in Sweden and Finland. In 1860, she was employed at the ''Mindre teatern'' in Stockholm. In 1863, Mindre teatern was taken over by the Royal Dramatic Theatre. Many of the actors was given a contract in the new theatre. Louise Granberg
Louise Elisabeth Granberg (29 October 1812 – 28 December 1907), was a Swedes, Swedish playwright, translator and theatre director. Granberg was born in Stockholm, the daughter of the actor and writer Per Adolf Granberg and Jeanetta Vilhelmina Hedmansson. She was the sister of the playwright Jeanette Granberg (1825–1857). From 1849 forward, she translated and wrote plays, sometimes jointly with her sister, under used the pseudonym Carl Blink. During the season 1860–61, her play ''Johan Fredman'' was staged at Mindre teatern in Stockholm. ''Tvänne ringar'' was first performed at the Mindre teatern in 1861 and ''Familjen Mohrin'' premiered at the Nya theatre in 1876. In 1861, she married Edvard Stjernström, founder of the Swedish Theatre (Stockholm) and the widower of her sister. From 1877–1880, she was the "very able" director of the theatre. Erik Gustaf Boström
Erik Gustaf Bernhard Boström (11 February 1842 – 21 February 1907) was a Swedish landowner and politician who was a member of the Swedish Parliament (1876–1907) and the longest-serving Prime Minister of Sweden of the 19th century. He served twice, first from 1891 to 1900 and then again from 1902 to 1905. He was also known as E.G. Boström or E. Gust. Boström. In 1871, he married Carolina "Lina" Almqvist, with whom he had six daughters and one son. Brother of County Governor Filip Boström and nephew of the philosopher Christopher Jacob Boström. Boström's governmental policy was marked by its pragmatism. Over time, Boström gained a good reputation as being a rallying national icon despite being the first prime minister to have neither an academic education nor experience with upper governmental positions. Nancy Margareta Eriksson (11 April 1907 – 12 May 1984) was a Swedish politician for the Swedish Social Democratic Party and a member of the Swedish Riksdag. She also made a notable appearance in the SVT television series ''Här är ditt liv'' in 1981. Early life Eriksson was born on 11 April 1907 in Gladsaxe, Denmark. She was adopted by a Swedish family after her birth mother put her up for adoption by placing an advert in the newspaper ''Skånska Dagbladet''. Career Eriksson graduated in 1927 and in 1932, she started working as a nurse. Eriksson was elected to the Riksdag, the Swedish national legislative assembly, in 1948 and became a member of the second chamber from 1949. She remained a member of parliament between 1949 and 1970. Zarah Leander (; 15 March 1907 – 23 June 1981) was a Swedish singer and actress whose greatest success was in Germany between 1936 and 1943, when she was contracted to work for the state-owned Universum Film AG (UFA). Although no exact record sales numbers exist, she was probably among Europe's best-selling recording artists in the years prior to 1945. Her involvement with UFA caused her films and lyrics to be identified as Nazi propaganda. The Swedish Emigration Commission ( sv, Emigrationsutredningen), was a commission that existed between 1907 and 1913 that was mandated by the Swedish Parliament of Sweden, Riksdag to try to reduce Swedish emigration to North America, Swedish emigration to the United States. In the 19th century, Sweden had had one of the highest rates of emigration to North America in all of Europe, the third highest after Ireland and Norway. By 1910, one fifth of all Swedes had their homes in America. The situation alarmed conservative Swedes, who regarded emigration as a challenge to national solidarity and to the very nation state itself, already seemingly under threat from trade unionism and the international socialism, international socialist movement. This is a list of Swedish kings, queens, regents and viceroys of the Kalmar Union. History The earliest record of what is generally considered to be a Swedish king appears in Tacitus' work '' Germania'', c. 100 AD (the king of the Suiones). However, due to scant and unreliable sources before the 11th century, lists of succession traditionally start in the 10th century with king Olof Skötkonung, and his father Eric the Victorious, who also were the first Swedish kings to be baptized. There are, however, lists of Swedish pagan monarchs with far older dates, but in many cases these kings appear in sources of disputed historical reliability. Gustaf V Of Sweden
Gustaf V (Oscar Gustaf Adolf; 16 June 1858 – 29 October 1950) was King of Sweden from 8 December 1907 until his death in 1950. He was the eldest son of King Oscar II of Sweden and Sophia of Nassau, a half-sister of Adolphe, Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Reigning from the death of his father Oscar II in 1907 to his own death nearly 43 years later, he holds the record of being the oldest monarch of Sweden and the third-longest rule, after Magnus IV (1319–1364) and Carl XVI Gustaf (1973–present).
