1906–07 FC Basel Season
The FC Basel 1906–07 season was their fourteenth season in their existence. The club's chairman was Ernst-Alfred Thalmann, who was chairman for the fourth consecutive year. FC Basel played their home games in the Landhof. Overview Daniel Hug was team captain for the second season in a row. Hug was Basel's most prominent and their largest player and as captain he led the team trainings and was responsible for the line-ups. Basel played five pre-season friendlies, two against German team Freiburger FC, two against German team Karlsruher FV and one against Swiss team Grasshopper Club. Four of these games ended with a defeat, only one ended in a victory. During the first half of the season they played another two friendlies, again one against the Grasshoppers and one against Montriond Lausanne. Max Palatini (date of birth unknown) was a Swiss footballer who played for FC Basel as midfielder. Palatini joined Basel's first team for their 1907–08 season. Emil Hasler (footballer)
Emil Hasler (29 July 1883 – 7 December 1932) was a Swiss international footballer who played for FC Basel. He played mainly in the position as midfielder, but also as striker. Club career Hasler joined FC Basel's first team during their 1900–01 season. Due to his age, Hasler only played in two friendly games for the team that season. Hasler played his first game for the club in the away game on 5 May 1901 as Basel were defeated 0–3 by La Chaux-de-Fonds. Again in the following season he also only played friendly matches, but he scored his first goal for the team on 11 May 1902 in the away friendly game as Basel won 4–1 against French team FC Mulhouse. Hasler first played league football during their 1902–03 season. Adolf Ramseyer
Adolf Ramseyer (born in 1883 – 22 February 1951) was a Swiss footballer who played for FC Basel in the early 1900s as defender. Ramseyer joined Basel's first team for their 1901–02 season. After playing in two test games, Ramseyer played his domestic league debut for the club in the away game on 20 October 1901 as Basel were defeated 0–2 by Old Boys. Ramseyer scored his first goal for his club on 28 February 1904 in the home game in the Landhof against FC Floria Biel-Bienne as Basel won 6–0. Jules Fingerlin
Jules Fingerlin (30 September 1881 – 28 December 1929) was a Swiss footballer who played either as goalkeeper or as defender. Fingerlin joined Basel's first team for their 1899–1900 season. During that season Basel did not compete in the Swiss championship, played only friendly games. Max Senn
Max Senn (born 11 February 1883 – 21 July 1933) was a Swiss watchmaker and football player. He played as striker. Private life Born in Basel, Max Senn was the son of the Basel watchmaker Emil Senn and his wife Frida née Bürgin. For professional reasons in 1901 he moved Hannover and worked for the firm Uhren-Stellmann as instructor for watchmakers for at least two years. After a lengthy, unspecified absence, he registered back in Basel on 3 August 1906. On 18 February 1909, he married Emma Louise Karolina Zehnder, born 24 September 1870. The couple had four children: Max Kurt, born 24 April 1910; Emil Alfred, born 15 December 1911, Jeanne Louise, born 20 November 1914; Yvonne, born 15 June 1916. Dr Siegfried Pfeiffer (19 October 188315 February 1959) was a Swiss international footballer. He played mainly as striker, but also as midfielder.
