The 1904 Drake Bulldogs football team was an American football team that represented Drake University as an independent during the 1904 college football season. In its second season under head coach W. J. Monilaw, the team compiled a 5–4 record and outscored opponents by a total of 213 to 165. The team played its home games at Haskins Field. The stadium was dedicated by Governor Albert B. Cummins on October 8, 1904. Drake Stadium was a stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Originally named Haskins Field, for the son of a primary donor, stadium opened on October 8, 1904 with the University of Iowa winning 17–0 over Drake. The original name of the stadium was Haskins Field, but it was changed to Drake Stadium in 1910 at the request of the Haskins. The 1904 Iowa State Cyclones football team represented Iowa State College of Agricultural and Mechanic Arts (later renamed Iowa State University) as an independent during the 1904 college football season. In their third season under head coach A. W. Ristine, the Cyclones compiled a 7–2 record, shut out six of nine opponents, and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 248 to 48. Preston Daniels was the team captain. Between 1892 and 1913, the football team played on a field that later became the site of the university's Parks Library. The field was known as State Field; when the new field opened in 1914, it became known as "New State Field". The Drake–Northern Iowa rivalry is the American collegiate athletics rivalry between the Drake Bulldogs sports teams of Drake University and Northern Iowa Panthers sports teams of the University of Northern Iowa. The 1904 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the 1904 Western Conference football season. In the team's fourth season under head coach Fielding H. Yost, the Wolverines compiled a perfect 10–0 record and outscored opponents 567–22. The 1904 team was the fourth of Yost's legendary "Point-a-Minute" teams. Michigan's games were of varying length from 22½ minutes to 70 minutes. Over the course of ten games, Michigan played 476 minutes of football and averaged a point scored for every 50.3 seconds played.
