18th Annual Anugerah Musik Indonesia
The 18th Annual Anugerah Musik Indonesia was held on September 22, 2015, at the Ecovention in Pademangan, North Jakarta. The show was broadcast live on RCTI and was hosted by Arie Untung. The show was a collaboration between Anugerah Musik Indonesia Foundation and RCTI. The theme of the show was Stop Pembajakan! (stop piracy). Musicians, singers, and composers were nominated for 53 different awards. The event was divided into three segments: AMI Awards Gala Night, Lifetime Achievement Awards, and The Winner's Concert. Tulus led the nominations with nine, and also became the biggest winner of the night with six wins, including Best of the Best Album for ''Gajah'', Best of the Best Production Work for "Jangan Cintai Aku Apa Adanya", and Best Pop Male Solo Artist. Other winners included Cita Citata and Trio Lestari, who won three awards. Sheila On 7, Isyana Sarasvati, Andien, Kotak, etc. took home two trophies each. The Anugerah Musik Indonesia ( 'Indonesian Music Awards'), also known as AMI or colloquially AMI Awards, is an annual Indonesian music award ceremony to recognize outstanding achievements in improving the quality and quantity of artists in the mainly Indonesian-language music industry. ''Payung'' dance ( Minangkabau: ''tari Payuang''; Jawi: ) is a folk dance-drama tradition of the Minangkabau- Malay ethnic group in Sumatra, Indonesia. This dance is a Minangkabau version of other Malay dances from Sumatra. Folk theatre such as ''toneel'' and ''sandiwara'' often incorporate ''payung'' dance as part of the show. The ''payung'' (umbrella) is the main prop used in this dance. The ''payung'' dance symbolizes affection and the relationship of young people and is usually performed by three or four dancers. Mulan Jameela (born Raden Wulansari on 23 August 1979) is an Indonesian singer and politician. Kris Dayanti Trenggono (born 24 March 1975), often written mononymously as Krisdayanti (or shortened as KD), is an Indonesian singer and actress. She is the younger sister of Yuni Shara, another Indonesian singer. She is the daughter of Trenggono and Rachma Widadiningsih. At the age of 9, she sang a song for the movie Megaloman.
