Anders Andersen (Norway)
Anders Andersen (22 October 1846 – 1 September 1931) was a saw mill worker who participated in forming the Norwegian Labour Party. Anders Andersen was born just outside Hønefoss in Ringerike, Norway. Around 1868, he moved to Arendal in Aust-Agder and lived there for 20 years. He was member of a recently founded local labour group called Samhold when he somewhat coincidentally became the first party leader in 1887. The labour group Samhold soon after ceased to exist due to local circumstances and it was not represented at the next party congress. In 1889, Andersen moved from Arendal and settled at Røyken in Buskerud where he worked as a farm manager. He continued to be active in the labor movement, as a member of the municipal council and trade unionist. Not even among his colleagues in Røyken was it commonly known that he had been the first leader of the Labour Party. Anders Andersen died in 1931 near 85 years of age. Rosa Anna Charlotte Asmundsen (29 December 1846 – 15 January 1911) was a Norwegian actress and singer. Early life Rosa Anna Charlotte Asmundsen was born on 29 December 1846 in Christiania (now Oslo) to Italian plaster manufacturer Giovanni Baldani and Anna Eriksdatter. She married the actor Jacob Hveding Asmundsen (1841–1910) and together they were the parents of actor Sigurd Asmundsen (1871–1934). Kittel Halvorson
Kittel Halvorson (December 15, 1846 – July 12, 1936) was a U.S. Representative from Minnesota. Biography Kittel Halvorson was born near Tuddal in Hjartdal parish, Telemark, Norway. In 1848, he immigrated to the United States with his parents, who settled near Whitewater, Walworth County, Wisconsin. They subsequently moved to Columbia County and then to Winnebago County. He attended the public schools in Winchester, Wisconsin. In 1863, Halvorson enlisted in Company C, First Regiment, Wisconsin Heavy Artillery, and served until the close of the Civil War. His service record included participation in the Battle of Missionary Ridge and the Battle of Chattanooga. Halvorson moved to Minnesota in November 1865 and homesteaded near Belgrade, Stearns County where he engaged in agricultural pursuits and stock raising. Gregers Winther Wulfsberg Gram (10 December 1846 – 1 August 1929) was a Norwegian jurist and politician, and international arbitrator. He was a Supreme Court Assessor, Norwegian prime minister in Stockholm from 1889 to 1891 and from 1893 to 1898 and County Governor from 1898 to 1915.
