Alexandra Sergeyevna Albedinskaya (russian: Алекса́ндра Серге́евна Альбединская; 30 November 1834 – 12 September 1913) was a Russian noble and courtier. Alexandra Albedinskaya was the royal mistress of Tsar Alexander II of Russia from the early 1850s until 1862. Biography Alexandra Albedinskaya was born to chamberlain Prince Sergei Alekseevich Dolgorukov and Maria Alexandrovna, nee Countess Apraksina. Alexandra Albedinskaya was a descendant of a member of the Supreme Privy Council of Prince Alexei Grigoryevich Dolgorukov. The latter married one of his daughters, Princess Catherine, the Russian Emperor Peter II. Princess Elizabeth (Elizaveta) Esperovna Beloselskaya-Belozerskaya, later Princess Trubetskaya (20 November 1834, Saint Petersburg - 30 March 1907, Saint Petersburg), was a Russian nobility, Russian noblewoman, lady-in-waiting and a salonist. Princess Maria Mikhailovna Golitzyna (russian: Мария Михайловна Голицина; 1834–1910) was a Russian noble, courtier and philanthropist. She served as ''Ober-Hofmeisterin'' (Mistress of the Robes) to Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia from 1894 until 1910. Warsaw Citadel (Polish: Cytadela Warszawska) is a 19th-century fortress in Warsaw, Poland. It was built by order of Tsar Nicholas I after the suppression of the 1830 November Uprising in order to bolster imperial Russian control of the city. It served as a prison into the late 1930s, especially the dreaded Tenth Pavilion of the Warsaw Citadel (''X Pawilon Cytadeli Warszawskiej''); the latter has been a museum since 1963. History The Citadel was built by personal order of Tsar Nicholas I after the 1830 November Uprising. Sev Berd or Black Fortress ( hy, Սև բերդ; russian: Чёрная Кре́пость, ''Chornaya Krepost'') is an abandoned Russian imperial fortress in Gyumri, Shirak Province, Armenia. The fortress, which lies from the Turkish border, was built in response to the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829. It is a national cultural heritage monument in Armenia. History Gyumri, which lies on the border with Turkey, became part of the Russian Empire after the Treaty of Gulistan. Gyumri was renamed Alexandropol in 1837 after the visit of Tsar Nicholas I, in honor of his wife, Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna. The fortress was built on top of a hill, and the full fortification took a decade after the first stones were laid in 1834.
