Anna Lovisa Eleonora "Ellen" Anckarsvärd née ''Nyström'' (10 December 1833 – 8 December 1898), was a Swedish women's rights activist. She was the co-founder and secretary of the Married Woman's Property Rights Association (1873), co-founder and vice chairperson of the Friends of Handicraft (1874), co-founder of Fredrika Bremer Association (1884), vice chairperson of the Fredrika Bremer Association in 1896–1898, chairperson of the National Council of Swedish Women in 1896–1898, and chairperson of the in 1896–1898. Life Ellen Anckarsvärd was the daughter of the architect Per Axel Nyström. In 1862, she married the architect Theodor Anckarsvärd (1816–1878). She became the mother of the diplomat Cossva Anckarsvärd, later secretary of the foreign ministry, and the foster mother of the artist Louis Sparre. Johan Anton Lindqvist (25 December 1759 - 17 September 1833) was a Swedish stage actor and theater director. Biography Lindqvist was born at Ystad, Sweden. He was active in the theater party of Carl Seuerling Carl Gottfried Seuerling (1727-1795) was a German born, Swedish stage actor and theater director. He was the director of the Seuerling theater Company in 1768-93 and as such the leader of one of only two professional Swedish language theater comp ... in 1788. He was the director of the Lindqvist theater Company in 1793-1820. He played an important role in Swedish theater life outside of Stockholm, being the leader of one of the largest theater companies in Sweden. Lindqvist and his company maintained the operations of the theatres in Gothenburg. He was the director of the theatres Comediehuset (1796-1800 and 1810–16) and Segerlindska teatern (1816–20) during the attempts to make them permanent theatres. He died in Gothenburg in 1833. Hedda Wrangel
Anna Hedvig "Hedda" Wrangel née ''Lewenhaupt'' (11 December 1792 in Forstena – 24 July 1833, in Ovesholm) was a Swedish composer. Hedda Wrangel was the daughter of colonel count Gustaf Julius Lewenhaupt and Anna Helena Alströmer, and married in 1810 at Karlberg Palace to the courtier Baron Henning Wrangel af Adinal. Her husband was known for his hot temperament, love life and duels. The couple mainly lived at Sperlingsholm manor. She had no children. Esaias Tegnér portrayed her in a poem (1827) in which he wrote: "When she sings, oh, breathing stops, and the tongue of gossip itself fall silent." Rudolf Cederström
Olof Rudolf Cederström (8 February 1764 – 1 June 1833) was a Swedish naval commander. Cederström enlisted in the Swedish admiralty in 1779 and as captain, he conducted a raid against Rogervik. He distinguished himself in 1790 at the naval Battle of Reval and the Battle of Viborg Bay. During the following years he led ships against privateers in the North Sea. He was sent in 1801 to fight alongside the United States Navy in the Mediterranean during the First Barbary War. In 1808 his ships were sent to blockade Gotland in order to repel a Russian invasion . His last military action was against Denmark and France in 1813, when he helped Swedish forces capture Vorpommern. In 1815, he was appointed a minister but returned to the navy in 1818. He finally resigned in 1828. Career Cederström was born in Landskrona, Sweden, the son of Claes Cederström and his wife Margareta Elisabet von Mevius. Johann Christian Friedrich Hæffner
Johann Christian Friedrich Hæffner (2 March 1759 in Oberschönau – 28 May 1833 in Uppsala) was a German-born Swedish composer. Hæffner received his first musical education with the Schmalkalden organist Johann Gottfried Vierling. He studied in Leipzig from 1776, and then worked as a music conductor in theatres in Frankfurt am Main and Hamburg from 1778 to 1780. He moved to Stockholm, Sweden in 1781 at the invitation of the German congregation there (''Tyska kyrkan'') to assume the position of organist, which he held until 1793. The same year (1781) he was employed at the Royal Theatre in Stockholm as well as conductor of the orchestra for the Stenborg theatres. In 1786 Hæffner was appointed assistant conductor of the Royal Orchestra (''hovkapellet'') and from 1795 to 1807 he held the post of ''hovkapellmästare'' (Chief conductor of the Royal Orchestra). Rosalie Sjöman
Rosalie Sofie Sjöman (née Hammarqvist, 1833–1919) was an early Swedish female photographer. From the mid-1860s, she became one of Stockholm's most highly regarded portrait photographers. Biography Born on 16 October 1833 in Kalmar in the south of Sweden, Sjöman was the daughter of John Peter Hammarqvist, a captain in the merchant navy. When she turned 22, she married Captain Sven Sjöman, who was 15 years senior to her. After moving to Stockholm in 1857, the couple had two sons and a daughter. When her husband died of alcoholism in 1864, she worked as the assistant to the photographer Carl Johan Malmberg who had established one of the city's earliest photographic studios in 1859. She later took over his studio and operated it in her own name. Sjöman soon gained a reputation as one of Stockholm's best portrait photographers.
