Hans Hein Nysom
Hans Hein Nysom (4 February 1767 – 29 January 1831) was a Norwegian priest and politician. Hans Hein Nysom was born in the community of Bragernes of the city of Drammen. He was the son of a local merchant. In 1787, he earned his theological degree at the University of Copenhagen. In 1788, he was appointed chaplain under the priest in Eiker. Johan August Sandels
Count Johan August Sandels (31 August 1764 – 22 January 1831) was a Swedish soldier and politician, being appointed Governor-general of Norway (''RiksstÃ¥thÃ¥llare'' in Swedish, ''Rigsstatholder'' in Dano-Norwegian) 1818 and Field Marshal in 1824. He also served as acting Governor of Stockholm in 1815. Biography Sandels was born in Stockholm. In the Finnish War (1808–1809) on 27 October 1808, he led the Swedish troops to victory against the Russian forces, at the Battle of Koljonvirta. His subordinate officers were Colonel Fahlander, Major Malm and Major Joachim Zachris Duncker. These events and others in the Finnish War were later retold in a series of epic poems by Johan Ludvig Runeberg. Runeberg's poem tells a story of Sandels having a feast while the enemy mounts a premature attack. Svend Adolph Solberg
Svend Adolph Solberg (17 April 1831–3 May 1890) was a Norwegian businessman and politician. Solberg was born at Drammen in Buskerud, Norway. He was the son of Andreas Solberg (1801-1862) and his wife Ingeborg Nicoline Kiær (1801-1862). Following the death of his parents, he took over the Kobbervik farm at Åskollen which his father had acquired in 1842. After graduation (cand.jur), Solberg went to work as a wholesaler for the firm Hans Kiær & Co. in Drammen The company, which was involved in the timber industry, was owned and operated by relatives of his mother's family. In 1880, he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament, representing the constituency of Drammen. He only served one term. Solberg was married to Christiane Louise Arbo (1833-1913). Louise Larsine Brun née ''Gulbrandsen'' (16 December 1830 – 21 January 1866), was a Norwegian actress. She is counted among the most famed and most noted actors in Norway in the 19th century. Biography She was the daughter of Ole Gulbrandsen Spor and wife Ingeborg Olsdatter England, and grew up at Smørsalmenningen in Bergen, Norway where her father ran his own beer brewery. Hans Rasmus Astrup (17 April 1831 in Bolsøy – 19 February 1898) was a Norwegian industrial entrepreneur, philanthropist and politician with the Liberal Party. Astrup was born and raised at Bolsøy in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. He was the son of Ebbe Carsten Tønder Astrup, who was mayor of Bolsøy for four years. He apprenticed as an office boy and salesman for Hans Clausen, who was a ship owner and fish exporter. In 1855, Astrup established his own import business. The trade expanded from fish to lumber, with suppliers in Finland and Sweden and markets in Great Britain. In 1860, he established his office in Stockholm. The business expanded until a fire in 1874. The loss, reconstruction and subsequent economic downturn made the following years to a struggle.
