Hagaparken 1811
Hagaparken ("Haga Park"), or simply Haga in Solna Municipality just north of Stockholm, Sweden, is a vast and popular nature area, with large lawns, woods and gardens. Description Hagaparken is located along the western shoreline of Brunnsviken and is a part of the Royal National City Park. Within the park are Haga Palace, King Gustav III's Pavilion, the Chinese Pavilion, the Haga Echo Temple, the Turkish Kiosk, an older castle ruin (which is not really a ruin as it is the remains of a castle never finished) and several other interesting buildings on the grounds (such as the peculiar Copper Tents and also the Butterfly House). Included in the Haga Park is also the Royal Burial Ground of the Swedish Royal family (since 1922), where several members and ancestors of the present Swedish royal Bernadotte family rest. August Blanche
August Blanche (17 September 1811 – 30 November 1868) was a Sweden, Swedish journalist, novelist, and politician. Life August Theodor Blanche was born in Stockholm, Sweden, the illegitimate child of a servant girl and a priest. His mother eventually married Johan Jacob Blanck, a blacksmith and the boy took his stepfather's name. A brilliant student, in 1838 he obtained a law degree and for a time, worked as a civil servant until taking up journalism. In the early 1840s, he began writing plays for the theater as well as translating plays from foreign languages into Swedish. By the middle of the decade, he was writing novels and short stories of intrigue, all of which met with a great deal of success. An activist, in 1859 Blanche was elected to the Riksdag, Swedish Parliament where he served until 1866. Johanna Löfblad
Johanna Catharina Löfblad née ''Embeck'' or ''Enbäck'' (1733 – 14 September 1811), also known as Madame Gentschein and Madame Löfblad, was a Swedish stage actress. She was a member of the pioneer group of actors in the first Swedish national theatre of Bollhuset. Life The origin of Johanna Löfblad does not seem to be known. Her original named was Embeck or Enbäck. Adolf Ulrik Wertmüller
Adolf Ulrik Wertmüller (February 18, 1751 – October 5, 1811) was a Swedish painter whose notable works include ''Danaë receiving Jupiter in a Shower of Gold''. Wertmüller was born in Stockholm and studied art at home before moving to Paris in 1772 to study under his cousin Alexander Roslin and French painter Joseph-Marie Vien. On July 30, 1784, Wertmüller was elected to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. Wertmüller was commissioned by Gustav III of Sweden for a portrait of Marie Antoinette, which is now in the Nationalmuseum at Stockholm. In 1787, he produced his masterpiece ''Danaë'', a work which proved controversial as one of the earliest female nude paintings exhibited in America. Wertmüller first emigrated to the United States in May 1794 and continued his portrait work, most notably of General George Washington, but in 1796 was called back to Sweden, eventually returning to Philadelphia in 1800. Malla Höök
Amelie "Malla" Höök (1811–1882) was a Swedish actress and courtesan. She was engaged at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm in 1828–1842, and also a well known courtesan. She is often mentioned in theater history for her friendship with Emilie Högqvist. Life Malla Höök's father is unknown. She was a student of the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1825–26, a member of the travelling Berggren theater in 1826–28, debuted at the Royal Dramatic theater in 1828, and was active there from 1829 until 1842. She was a personal friend of her colleague Emilie Högqvist, and often mentioned as such. As a stage artist, Malla Höök was described as a dutiful worker and a gifted soubrette actress. She was however more famed as a courtesan, and was for several years the mistress of a noble diplomat.
