Emilie Petersen
''Emilie'' Charlotta Petersen, née ''Eckert'' (15 July 1780 in Hamburg – 10 January 1859 in Kärda), known as (The Herrestad Grandmother), was a Swedish landowner and philanthropist. She was a pioneer within the sewing society in Sweden, as well as an internationally known philanthropist. Life Emilie Petersen was the daughter of the councilor Christian Eckert and married the wealthy merchant Johan Philip Petersen in 1800 in Hamburg. The couple emigrated to Sweden when Hamburg was taken by Napoleon in 1806, and in 1813, they bought the manor Herrestad. Petersen supported the Swedish Missionary Society from 1835, and from 1838, she regularly arranged religious sewing meetings, which are regarded to have introduced the sewing society in Sweden. Martin Nürenbach
Martin Nürenbach or ''Nurembach'' (unknown – 1780) was a German acrobat, stage actor, dancer and equilibrist active in Sweden, Norway and Finland. He was a pioneer in Norwegian theater history by founding the first public theater in Oslo in the year 1771. Life Early career The early life of Martin Nürenbach is sketchy. He was from Germany, but his year of birth is unknown. He likely came to Sweden in the travelling theater company of the German theater director Carl Seuerling, who arrived to Sweden in 1759, and are estimated to have been a child or a teenager at that time. Carl Seuerling married the Swedish actress Margareta Lindahl, and took over the travelling Swedish theater company of his father-in-law Peter Lindahl, thereby staying in Sweden. Nürenbach later stated (1769) that he was the "stepson" of Carl Seuerling, but this statement is unclear and is familial relation to Seuerling is unconfirmed. Ulrika Strömfelt
Ulrika Eleonora Strömfelt (1724–5 April 1780), was a politically active Swedish noble and courtier. She is known for her part in the attempted Coup d'état of queen Louisa Ulrika in 1756. Life Ulrika Strömfelt was the daughter of riksråd count Johan Carl Strömfelt and the ''överhovmästarinna'' and royal governess Hedvig Elisabet Wrangel. In 1739, she became '' hovfröken'' (maid of honor) to Ulrika Eleonora, Queen of Sweden. In 1744, she was made maid of honor to the new crown princess, Louisa Ulrika of Prussia. She and her sister Agneta Strömfelt belonged to the first circle of courtiers appointed to Louisa Ulrika after her arrival in Sweden together with Cathérine Charlotte De la Gardie, Henrika Juliana von Liewen and Charlotta Sparre. Anna Carlström
Anna Carlström, née ''Vickberg'' (13 February 1780 – 1850), was a Swedish procurer and brothel owner. She was the manager of the brothel "London" in Stockholm, one of the two brothels, London and Stadt Hamburg, which were supported by the authorities in a temporary experiment between 1838 and 1841 to control the spread of sexually transmitted disease. She was the owner of one of only two unique brothel licenses ever issued in her country at the time. Anna Carlström published her memoires in 1841. Early life Anna Carlström described her life in her memoirs, published in 1841, which may not give an altogether truthful picture: among other things, she claimed to have been the mother of 22 children. Gustaf Albrecht Bror Cederström (21 September 1780 – 21 December 1877) was a Swedish baron and lieutenant general and Minister for Defence (Sweden), Minister of War. Biography Cederström was born at Fornsigtuna, Sweden and was the only child of lieutenant general and later president of the Council of War (''Krigskollegium''), baron Bror Cederström (1754-1816) and his first wife Catharina Maria Voltemat. The father remarried in 1800 to the author Charlotta Cederström, Christina Mörner. From 1816 to 1822, he headed the Cederströmian Hussar Regiment (''Cederströmska husarregementet'', previously named the Mörnerian Hussar Regiment, ''Mörnerska husarregementet'', after the previous commander, Hampus Mörner, and later renamed the Crown Prince's Hussar Regiment, when Oscar I of Sweden, Crown Prince Oscar became its commander) in Scania.
