Jonas Greger Walnum
Jonas Greger Walnum (20 August 1771 – 10 March 1838) was a Norwegian property owner and politician. Walnum was born at Steigen in Nordland, Norway. He was the son of Ole Henriksen Walnum (1740-1773) and Else Marie Greger (1746-1812). He inherited property known as Walnumgodset from his father. He resided in the town Sandnessjøen on the island of Alsta where he was an innkeeper and trader. He married Else Maria Meyer Hersleb (1771-1838), widow of Tøger Pedersen Bech, who was the oldest sister of theologian Svend Borchmann Hersleb. In 1801, Walnum acquired the estate of his father-in-law, Jørgen Sverdrup Hersleb, and settled as proprietary of Nord-Herøy, the largest island in Herøy. He and his wife were the parents of fifteen children. including two sons who became priests with the Church of Norway. Andreas Aagaard Kiønig
Andreas Aagaard Kiønig (8 August 1771 – 1 March 1856) was a Norwegian lawyer and judge. He served as a representative at the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly. Andreas Aagaard Kiønig was born on Opaker Gård at Grue in Hedmark, Norway. He graduated as cand.jur. in 1790. He was elected to the Norwegian Constituent Assembly in 1814, representing the constituency of Hedemarkens Amt. He supported the independence party (''Selvstendighetspartiet''). At that time he worked as a district stipendiary magistrate (''sorenskriver'') in the traditional district of Østerdalen. He was then appointed Supreme Court Assessor the same year. In 1836, when appointment of a new Chief Justice was due, Kiønig was a candidate, but the position was given to Georg Jacob Bull. As a result, Kiønig retired as a Supreme Court Assessor. Ole Olsen Amundrød
Ole Olsen Amundrød (30 May 1771 – 24 March 1835) was a Norwegian farmer and schoolteacher. He served as a representative at the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly. Ole Olsen Amundrød was born on the farm Ousby (today Østby Søndre) at Tjølling in Vestfold, Norway. In 1801 he was appointed schoolmaster, a position he retained until 1810. In 1808, he married Ingeborg Maria Kristoffersdatter (1791-1855). In 1813, the couple took over her family farm, Ommundrød in Tjølling. They also ran an inn on the farm. They were the parents of eight children. After his death, his widow ran the farm until 1842 when she sold it to her son Ole Kristian Olsen and son in law Nils Nilsen. Hans Nielsen Hauge
Hans Nielsen Hauge (3 April 1771 – 29 March 1824) was a 19th-century Norwegian Lutheran lay minister, spiritual leader, business entrepreneur, social reformer and author. He led a noted Pietism revival known as the Haugean movement. Hauge is also considered to have been influential in the early industrialization of Norway. Biography Hans Nielsen Hauge was born the fifth of ten children in his ancestral farm of Hauge at Rolvsøy (''Hauge på Rolvsøy'') in the county of Østfold. His father was Niels Mikkelsen Evenrød (1732–1813) and mother Maria Olsdatter Hauge (1735–1811). He had a poor and otherwise ordinary youth until 5 April 1796, when he received his "spiritual baptism" in a field near his farm. Within two months, he had founded a revival movement in his own community, written a book, and decided to take his mission on the road. He wrote a series of books in his lifetime. Johan Nordahl Brun (21 March 1745 – 26 July 1816) was a Norwegian-Danish poet, dramatist, bishop of Bergen (1804–1816), and politician who contributed significantly to the growth of national romanticism in Norway, contributing to the growing national consciousness. Early life and family Johan Nordahl Brun was born in Byneset, just outside the city of Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway, on 21 March 1745. He was born to the businessman Svend Busch Brun (1703–84) and his wife Mette Catharina Nordal. He traveled to Copenhagen in 1767, where he passed his theological examinations.
