In biology, a species is the basic unit of classification and a taxonomic rank of an organism, as well as a unit of biodiversity. A species is often defined as the largest group of organisms in which any two individuals of the appropriate sexes or mating types can produce fertile offspring, typically by sexual reproduction. Other ways of defining species include their karyotype, DNA sequence, morphology, behaviour or ecological niche. In addition, paleontologists use the concept of the chronospecies since fossil reproduction cannot be examined. Johan Afzelius (13 June 1753 in Larv – 20 May 1837 in Uppsala) was a Swedish chemist and notable as the doctoral advisor of one of the founders of modern chemistry, Jöns Jacob Berzelius. He was the brother of botanist Adam Afzelius and physician Pehr von Afzelius. Afzelius received his PhD at Uppsala University in 1776 under Torbern Olof Bergman. Hedvig Mörner
Hedvig Mörner af Morlanda (1672–1753), was a Swedish courtier and countess, married to riksråd count Claes Ekeblad the Elder. She was a personal friend of Ulrika Eleonora, Queen of Sweden, and known in contemporary Sweden for her political activity: through her connections in the political world, she was able to make successful recommendations for political offices and affect the work in the riksdag. Life She was born to general baron Hans Georg Mörner and Beata Schulman. Johanna "Jeanna" von Lantingshausen, née von Stockenström, (1753–1809), was a Swedish noble and courtier. She is foremost known as the instigator of the political demonstration by the noblewomen toward Gustav III in opposition of his parliamentary act of 1789. Sophia Albertina, Abbess Of Quedlinburg
Princess Sophia Albertina of Sweden (''Sophia Maria Lovisa Fredrika Albertina''; 8 October 1753 – 17 March 1829) was the last Princess-Abbess of Quedlinburg Abbey, and as such reigned as vassal monarch of the Holy Roman Empire. Sophia Albertina was the daughter of King Adolf Frederick of Sweden and Louisa Ulrika of Prussia. Märta Helena Reenstierna (16 September 1753 – 12 January 1841; married name: von Schnell), known as ''Årstafrun'' (The Årsta lady), was a Swedish diary writer. Her diaries were written in the period 1793–1839, and are kept at the archives of Nordiska museet in Stockholm. They were published in 1946–1953 as ''Årstadagboken'' (The Årsta Diary). They are considered as a valuable cultural historical document of the everyday life of the people at a Swedish manor of her epoch. Biography Märta Helena Reenstierna was the daughter of lieutenant Abraham Reenstierna and Catharina Maria von Köhler.
