16th Asian Film Awards
The 16th Asian Film Awards was held on March 12, 2023 at Hong Kong Jockey Club Auditorium in Hong Kong Palace Museum. The nominations were announced on January 6, 2023. At the 16th edition of the awards ceremony, 30 films from 22 regions and countries were shortlisted for 81 nominations. South Korean film ''Decision to Leave'' received 10 nominations most for any film whereas '' Drive My Car'' with eight nominations was second. , a Malaysian Chinese singer, actor and model was appointed as Youth Ambassador of the film awards. The award ceremony hosted by Grace Chan and Sammy Leung was held on 12 March 2023, where international actors and celebrities from Hong Kong walked the red carpet. The Sail Tower ( he, בית המפרש, ''Beit HaMifras''), officially District Government Center - Building B ( he, קרית הממשלה המחוזית חיפה - בניין ב) is a skyscraper and government building in Haifa, Israel. It is part of Haifa's District Government Center (responsible for the Haifa District), named after Yitzhak Rabin. Its construction began in 1999 and was completed on February 28, 2002. It has 29 floors and stands at 137 m (405 ft). As such, it was the tallest skyscraper in Haifa until 2003, surpassed by the IEC Tower. Counting antennas, it is still the tallest building in Haifa. Without the antennas, the sails of the Sail Tower reach 113 m, and its main roof is at 95 m. The District Government Center in Haifa was planned to combine new and old elements. William Chang Suk-ping ( zh, 張叔平; born 12 November 1953) is a Hong Kong production designer, costume designer and film editor. Along with cinematographer Christopher Doyle, Chang is an important collaborator with Hong Kong film director Wong Kar-wai. The Hong Kong Palace Museum is a public museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong, exhibiting artefacts from the national Palace Museum at the Forbidden City in Beijing. Construction began in April 2019 and the museum officially opened on 3 July 2022, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong.
