Genoa
Genoa ( ; it, Genova ; lij, Zêna ). is the capital of the Italian region of Liguria and the List of cities in Italy, sixth-largest city in Italy. Martino Altomonte, born Johann Martin Hohenberg (8 May 1657, Naples – 14 September 1745, Vienna) was an Italian Baroque painter of Austrian descent who mainly worked in Poland and Austria. Louis De Boullogne
Louis de Boullogne II (19 November 1654 – 2 November 1733), known as Boullogne fils, was a French painter. Life Boullogne was born and died in Paris, and was the brother of Bon Boullogne. Their father, Louis Boullogne, feared rivalry between the two brothers if Louis the younger became a painter and so at first opposed his wish to do so. However, his vocation finally won through and every evening Louis crossed Paris to go with Bon to draw at the Académie. Aged 18 he won the grand prix de peinture and left for Rome in 1676, when his brother returned from there. He made copies after ''The School of Athens'', ''Disputation of the Holy Sacrament'' and many other works by Raphael, from which the Gobelins made many different tapestries for the French king. Returning through Lombardy and Venice in 1680, Louis returned to Paris and soon won a great reputation. Michiel Carree
Michiel Carree or Carré (1657 – October 1727) was a Dutch Golden Age painter. Carree was born in The Hague. He received his first instructions from his elder brother Hendrik Carré, and afterwards became the scholar of Nicolaas Berchem, but unfortunately did not profit by the example and practice of so excellent a master, but preferred to follow the style of a much inferior artist named Gabriel van der Leeuw. According to Houbraken he was in England and knew Pieter Gerritsz van Roestraten. Bartolini, Gioseffo Maria (1657–1725) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque period. He was born at Imola. He painted a ''Miracle of St. Biagio'' and other works for the church of San Domenico and in other churches. He opened a school at Imola, and painted throughout Emilia-Romagna. Wigerus Vitringa
Wigerus Vitringa (October 8, 1657 – January 18, 1725), was a Dutch seascape painter. Biography Vitringa was born in Leeuwarden. According to the RKD he was the son of a prominent lawyer who could financially permit himself a career in the arts.Wigerus Vitringa in the RKD He was the pupil of Richard Brakenburg and possibly also the pupil of Ludolf Bakhuizen, whose style he followed. He moved to Alkmaar in the 1680s where his eyesight slowly deteriorated. He became a member of the Guild of St. Luke there in 1696. In 1708 he returned to Friesland where he became a teacher. Drawing is a form of visual art in which an artist uses instruments to mark paper or other two-dimensional surface. Francesco Solimena
Francesco Solimena (4 October 1657 – 3 April 1747) was a prolific Italian painter of the Baroque era, one of an established family of painters and draughtsmen. Biography Francesco Solimena was born in Canale di Serino in the province of Avellino. He received early training from his father, Angelo Solimena, with whom he executed a ''Paradise'' for the cathedral of Nocera (a place where he spent a big part of his life) and a ''Vision of St. Cyril of Alexandria'' for the church of San Domenico at Solofra.
