162nd Division (Israel)
The Israel Defense Forces 162nd Armor Division, also known as the Steel Formation ( he, עֻצְבַּת הַפְּלָדָה, ''Utzbat HaPlada''), is a regular-service armor division in the IDF. It is subordinate to the Southern Regional Command. The division is led by Brigadier-General Moti Baruch. It played a critical role in the 1973 Yom Kippur War in the Sinai under Abraham Adan. Although attached to the Central Command at the time, the 162nd Division participated in battles against Hezbollah, from July to August 2006, in the western sector of southern Lebanon and north of Bint Jbail Bint Jbeil () is the second largest town in the Nabatiye Governorate in Southern Lebanon. M109 Howitzer
The M109 is an American 155 mm turreted self-propelled howitzer, first introduced in the early 1960s to replace the M44. It has been upgraded a number of times, most recently to the M109A7. The M109 family is the most common Western indirect-fire support weapon of maneuver brigades of armored and mechanized infantry divisions. The M109 has a crew of four: the section chief/commander, the driver, the gunner, and the ammunition handler/loader. The chief or gunner aims the cannon left or right (deflection) and up and down (quadrant). The British Army replaced its M109s with the AS-90. Nahal Brigade

The 401st "Iron Tracks" Brigade ( he, עקבות הברזל, ''Ikvot HaBarzel'') is an Armored Brigade in the 162nd Division of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). Since August 2016 it is commanded by Colonel Ohad Nagma. History Established in 1966, 401 Brigade is one of the youngest brigades of the IDF. It took its current form in 1985. The 84th "Givati" Brigade ( he, חֲטִיבַת גִּבְעָתִי, , "Hill Brigade" or "Highland Brigade") is an Israel Defense Forces infantry brigade. Bint Jbeil () is the second largest town in the Nabatiye Governorate in Southern Lebanon. The town has an estimated population of 30,000.
