15th National Assembly Of Vietnam
The 15th National Assembly of Vietnam () is a parliamentary cycle that commenced in July 2021 following the legislative elections on 23 May 2021. The National Assembly has 499 members, formally confirmed at the 8th meeting of the National Election Council on 12 July 2021. The 15th National Assembly first convened on 20 July 2021 to re-elect Vương Đình Huệ as its Chairman, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc as President of Vietnam and Phạm Minh Chính as Prime Minister of Vietnam. Election Legislative elections were held on 23 May 2021 to elect members of the National Assembly and deputies of provincial, district and communical councils. About 69,243,604 people went to vote in 63 provinces and municipalities throughout the country. There were 868 candidates contested in 184 multi-member constituencies nationwide, with a maximum of 500 candidates elected. Vương Đình Huệ
Vương Đình Huệ (born 15 March 1957) is a Vietnamese politician and Professor in Economics. He is currently the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee. He was previously Minister of Finance and head of the PCC Economic Commission (Ban Kinh tế Trung ương), a central committee consulting agency for economic policies and strategies. Vũ Đức Đam (born 3 February 1963) is a Vietnamese politician who served as one of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Vietnam from 2013 until his sacking in 2023. Phạm Bình Minh (born 26 March 1959) is a Vietnamese politician who is currently a Deputy Prime Minister since 2013. He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from 2011 to 2021. Phạm is also a member of Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng. Võ Thị Ánh Xuân (born 8 January 1970) is a Vietnamese politician and former educator who currently serves as the Vice President of Vietnam since 2021. She was the Acting President of Vietnam in early 2023.
