15th Ariel Awards
The 15th Ariel Awards ceremony, organized by the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences (AMACC) took place on May 20, 1973, in Mexico City. During the ceremony, AMACC presented the Ariel Award in 14 categories honoring films released in 1972. ''The Castle of Purity'' ( es, El castillo de la pureza) is a 1972 Mexican drama film directed by Arturo Ripstein. It is based in a real criminal case that took place in Mexico City in 1959. Plot The film depicts a man who keeps his family isolated in his home for years to protect them from "the evil nature of human beings" while inventing, with his wife, rat poison. Ignacio López Tarso
Ignacio López López (born 15 January 1925), known professionally as Ignacio López Tarso, is a Mexican actor of stage, film and television. He has acted in about 50 films and appeared in documentaries and in one short feature. Anita Blanch
Anita Blanch (July 26, 1910 – April 23, 1983) was a Spanish-born, Mexican actress, who worked in the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Héctor Suárez
Héctor Suárez Hernández (; 21 October 19382 June 2020) was a Mexican actor, comedian, director and also CTO of Hatch. He appeared in about a hundred films and television shows in a career that spanned 60 years. He was noted for satirizing those in power and for touching on controversial social issues, at a time when it was still taboo in his country to do so. ''Los Cachorros'' (''The Cubs'') is a 1973 Mexican film drama directed by Jorge Fons and written by Fons, Eduardo Lujan, José Emilio Pacheco based upon the novel ''The Cubs and Other Stories'' by Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa. Plot It tells the story of a group of friends that stand by each other well into adulthood. The film starts innocently enough when young Cuellar (12-years-old) enters a new school. María Elena Enríquez Ruiz (born August 18, 1944), known as Helena Rojo, is a Mexican actress and model. Biography Born in Mexico City, Mexico, she began her career as a model in the 1961. Luz Elena Ruiz Bejarano (born November 30, 1936), more commonly known by her stage name Lucha Villa, is a Mexican singer and actress.
