Doğuş Derya (born 1978) is a Turkish Cypriot activist and politician. She was elected a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2013. Early years, education and activism Derya was born in North Nicosia in 1978. She studied Political Science and International Relations in Istanbul University and graduated in 1999. Ferdi Sabit Soyer
Ferdi Sabit Soyer (; born March 5, 1952) is a former Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and former Leader of Republican Turkish Party (CTP). Soyer, a former union leader, has been a member of the TRNC parliament since 1985 (except for a three-year absence between 1990 and 1993). He was named successor to Talat's former post of TRNC Prime Minister on April 25, 2005. Soyer was born in Nicosia in 1952, attending secondary school in Cyprus, then continued towards a degree in medicine from Turkey. However, due to political reasons he did not complete his university education. While there, Soyer co-founded the Youth Federation of Turkish Cypriot Students (KOGEF) and he was also its leader for a time. Mehmet Çakıcı
Mehmet Çakıcı (born 13 September 1966) is a Turkish Cypriot politician and psychiatrist. He served as the first leader of the Communal Democracy Party (TDP) between 2007 and 2013 and has been a member of the Assembly of the Republic since 2003. He then served as an independent member of the parliament for the Lefkoşa District, having resigned from the TDP in November 2016 and founded a new party, the Communal Liberation Party. Hasan Taçoy
Hasan Taçoy (born 1963) is a Turkish Cypriot politician who served as the Minister of Public Works and Transport between 2009 and 2010 and between 2014 and 2015. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1986, studying economics and political science. He then worked in commerce, taking part in the Assembly of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce for three terms and the Board of Directors of the Association of Young Businesspeople for two terms. He worked in the Board of Directors of the credit company owned by the Evkaf Administration in 1996 and also administered a handball club. Serdar Denktaş is son of Rauf Denktaş, the former President of the de facto Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He was the Minister of Finance of Northern Cyprus from April 2016 to May 2019. Hüseyin Özgürgün
Hüseyin Özgürgün (born 1965) is a Turkish Cypriot politician and a former Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus. He is the current leader of the National Unity Party (UBP). He was formerly the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. From 23 April to 17 May 2010 he was also Acting Prime Minister. Moreover, he was prime minister of Northern Cyprus from 16 April 2016 to 2 February 2018. Early life Özgürgün was born in 1965 in Nicosia, where he completed his education up to high school.
