The 13th Maharashtracha Favourite Kon? Awards ceremony, presented by the Marathi television channel Zee Talkies, honored the best Marathi-language Indian films of 2022. The ceremony was held on 20 January 2023, and was hosted by Amey Wagh and Priyadarshan Jadhav. ''Pandu'' led the ceremony with 12 nominations, followed by '' De Dhakka 2'' and Timepass 3 with 10 nominations each. Dharmaveer earned 5 awards, including Favourite Film, Favourite Director, and Favourite Actor, making it the most-awarded film of the ceremony, whereas Chandramukhi earned 3. Avadhoot Gupte got 3 nominations in Favourite Singer – Male category but lost to Adarsh Shinde. Prasad Oak, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Vaibhav Mangle each received 2 nominations in different categories, with the former two winning Favourite Actor and Favourite Actress, respectively. The Maharashtracha Favourite Kon? Awards are presented by the Marathi television channel Zee Talkies to honour excellence in Marathi cinema. It has been given annually since 2009, with the latest—the 14th edition—of the award-giving ceremony having been held in 2024. The awards are decided by a jury, consisting of noted film-makers, critics and technicians, while winners in a separate category named "Favourite awards" are chosen by public voting. History The first edition of the awards was held to select the most popular artists, however not for any technical work. In the first year of the awards, viewers were asked to choose their all-time favourite film and artists in nine categories - Favourite Hero, Heroine, Film, Director, music director, Playback Singer Male/Female, Villain and Comedian. Avadhoot Gupte
Avadhoot Gupte (Marathi pronunciation: ʋəd̪ʱuːt̪ ɡupt̪e born 19 February 1977) is an Indian singer, musician, writer, music & film director, film producer, television presenter and actor who works primarily in Marathi Cinema. He started his career as a film director with '' Zenda'' in 2010. Career Gupte's career as a singer started when he won the national level competition of ''TVS - Sa Re Ga Ma'' in the year 1996. Mahesh Vaman Manjrekar (Marathi pronunciation: Help:IPA/Marathi, [məɦeːʃ maːɲd͡zɾekəɾ]; born 16 August 1958) is an Indian actor, film director, screenwriter and producer who works primarily in Hindi films, alongside Marathi language, Marathi, Telugu language, Telugu and Bhojpuri cinema, Bhojpuri films. Viju Mane
Viju Mane is a Marathi film screenwriter, director, lyricist, producer, and actor from Maharashtra, India who is well known for his movies like Shikari, Bioscope, Pandu, Monkey Baat, Rege among the few. Apart from direction and writing, Viju has also acted in many films like 'Rege' and 'Prabho Shivaji Raja'.
