The 136th General Assembly of the U.S. state of Georgia convened its first session on January 12, 1981, at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta. The 136th Georgia General Assembly succeeded the 135th and served as the precedent for the 137th General Assembly in 1983. The Great Seal of the State of Georgia is a device that has historically been used to authenticate government documents executed by the state of Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia. The first great seal of the state was specified in the Georgia (U.S. state) Constitution, State Constitution of 1777, and its current form was adopted in 1799 with alterations in 1914. Its specifications are currently spelled out by statute. Lieutenant Governor Of Georgia
The lieutenant governor of Georgia is a constitutional officer of the State of Georgia, elected to a four-year term by popular vote. Unlike in some other U.S. states, the lieutenant governor is elected on a separate ticket from the Governor of Georgia. Constitutionally, the lieutenant governor's primary job is to serve as President of Georgia's Senate. In the case of incapacity of the governor, the lieutenant governor assumes the powers (but not the title) of the Governor. Should the governor die or otherwise leave office, the lieutenant governor becomes governor for the remainder of the term of office. The office of Lieutenant Governor was created by a state constitutional revision in 1945. Prior to that time, Georgia did not have such an office. Clarence Vaughn (born July 17, 1964) is a former American football safety in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins. High school years In high school, at Gage Park in Chicago, Vaughn played football, basketball and baseball. He was All-State honorable mention and a three-year football letterman starting on both sides of the ball as a running back and a linebacker. College career Vaughn played college football at Northern Illinois University where he won his 4-year football scholarship. He played linebacker for the Huskies and led the team in tackles with 92 tackles his senior year. In 1983, he was a linebacker on the California Bowl III championship team where they beat CSUF.
