12th TVyNovelas Awards
The 12th TVyNovelas Awards, is an Academy of special awards to the best of soap operas and TV shows. The awards ceremony took place on April 29, 1994 in the México D.F. The ceremony was televised in the Mexico by Canal de las estrellas. Raúl Velasco hosted the show. ''Corazón salvaje'' won 7 awards including Best Telenovela of the Year, the most for the evening. Other winners ''Los Parientes Pobres'' and ''Dos mujeres, un camino'' won 2 awards and ''Capricho'', and ''Entre la vida y la muerte'' won one each. Lucero Hogaza León (; born 29 August 1969) is a Mexican singer and entertainer. She is a multi-platinum singer in Mexico and has sung in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Lucero has sold more than 30 million records worldwide. She is often referred to as ("The Americas' sweetheart"). As a child she starred in the popular Mexican children shows '' Alegrias de Mediodia'' and '' Chispita''. She went on to release a series of successful albums. Manuel Mijares () (born José Manuel Mijares Morán, 7 February 1958 in Mexico City) is an adult-contemporary pop singer who is billed simply as "Mijares". He began his career at age 23 and achieved high popularity from the mid-80s to mid 90s in Latin America and Japan mainly. From 1997 to 2011 he was married to Mexican singer/actress Lucero, with whom he has two children. Biography He was born in Hospital Español in Mexico City.
