116th Rear Area Operations Center
A Rear Area Operations Center (RAOC) was a U.S. Army MTOE unit that served as a command and control facility that provided an rear area and/or sub-area commander's planning, coordinating, monitoring, advising and directing agency for area security operations. According to U.S. doctrine, a RAOC is a reserve component organization of approximately 30 personnel that contains no organic life support capabilities. It must rely on another sustainment brigade or group headquarters to which they are assigned for those functions. When deployed, an assigned sustainment brigade usually has tactical control authority over it while operational control authority is retained by a corps rear area commander. A table of organization and equipment (TOE or TO&E) is the specified organization, staffing, and equipment of Military unit, units. Also used in acronyms as 'T/O' and 'T/E'. It also provides information on the mission and capabilities of a unit as well as the unit's current status. A general TOE is applicable to a type of unit (for instance, an infantry battalion) rather than a specific unit (the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment (United States), 4th Infantry Regiment). 56th Theater Information Operations Group
The 56th Theater Information Operations Group is a brigade-sized command of the United States Army National Guard based in Washington, and Maryland. In 2015 it took on the additional role as a major subordinate command in the Washington Army National Guard, aligning military intelligence and special operations forces under its command for administrative control.
