CBEF (1550 AM) is a non- commercial radio station in Windsor, Ontario. It airs the programming of Radio-Canada's Première network. CBEF is a Class A station broadcasting on the clear-channel frequency of 1550 AM, and is the only full power station on this frequency in Canada. Most clear channel stations broadcast at 50,000 watts, the maximum permitted for Canadian AM stations, but CBEF is powered at 10,000 watts. It uses a directional antenna, located off Talbot Road (Route 3) in Tecumseh, Ontario. CBEF is also heard on three FM rebroadcasters in Southern Ontario. CBEF was launched in 1970. It originally broadcast at AM 540, until taking over the 1550 frequency in 2013. CHLM-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 90.7 FM in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. The station broadcasts the programming of the Ici Radio-Canada Première network. History In 1976, then-owner Radio-Nord Communications was granted a license from the CRTC, in which the station would operate as Radio-Canada's private affiliate of what was then called "Première Chaîne"; also included was a rebroadcaster, CHLM-FM-1 at Lithium Mines, serving nearby Val-d'Or, operating on 97.3 MHz with effective radiated power of 52,000 watts. Rhema FM
Rhema FM is the name used for a number of Christian radio stations established with the help of, and assisted for many years by United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) in Australia. Each station is independent, being run and programmed locally with many having moved away from the Rhema name. UCB has also established the Vision Radio Network across Australia, which is entirely networked from UCB's Brisbane studios. The name and logo of "Rhema FM" was derived from one of UCB's affiliate networks in New Zealand that was then of the same name. See New Zealand's Rhema. UCB no longer recognises affiliations with other radio stations because it has given up its role as a co-ordinating body to focus on operating as a broadcaster in its own right.
