1. Fußball-Club Köln 01/07 e. V. II, commonly known as simply 1. FC Köln II, is a German football team based in Cologne. It is the reserve team of German association football club 1. FC Köln. The team has qualified for the first round of the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, seven times and managed to reach the second round, three times. The team currently plays in the fourth tier of German Football, the Regionalliga West. History Their biggest ever win was in May 2013 when they defeated MSV Duisburg II 9-0. In the 2001–02 season, the managed to win the Oberliga Nordrhein and was promoted to the Regionalliga Nord, but was then relegated back to it in the 2007–08 season. They joined the Regionalliga West in 2008 when the Oberliga Nordrhein became defunct and finished 8th in their first season. They have played in the DFB-Pokal 10 times. Stephan Engels (born 6 September 1960) is a German former professional football player and manager, who played as a midfielder. In the West German top-flight he scored 39 goals in 236 matches. Eberhard Vogel
Eberhard "Ebse" Vogel (born 8 April 1943) is a former German footballer. Career Vogel played for FC Karl-Marx-Stadt (1961–1970) and FC Carl Zeiss Jena (1970–1982). His 440 appearances for both clubs combined was the record for East German top-flight football. On the national level, he played for the East Germany national team (74 matches/25 goals) and was a participant at the 1974 FIFA World Cup. In 1969, Vogel won the award for the GDR Footballer of the Year. In 1972, he scored the game-winning goal against rival West German national team in the 1972 Summer Olympics. Bernd Krauss (born 8 May 1957) is a German-Austrian retired football player and manager. His most recent spell he had as technical director and head coach of Tunisian club Étoile Sportive du Sahel in 2012. Erich Rutemöller (born 8 February 1945) is a German retired football manager and player. Coaching career Rutemöller has headed 1. FC Köln, Hansa Rostock and Bonner SC during his coaching career.
