Electronic Music
Electronic music is a genre of music that employs electronic musical instruments, digital instruments, or circuitry-based music technology in its creation. It includes both music made using electronic and electromechanical means ( electroacoustic music). Pure electronic instruments depended entirely on circuitry-based sound generation, for instance using devices such as an electronic oscillator, theremin, or synthesizer. Electromechanical instruments can have mechanical parts such as strings, hammers, and electric elements including magnetic pickups, power amplifiers and loudspeakers. Such electromechanical devices include the telharmonium, Hammond organ, electric piano and the electric guitar."The stuff of electronic music is electrically produced or modified sounds. ... two basic definitions will help put some of the historical discussion in its place: purely electronic music versus electroacoustic music" ()Electroacoustic music may also use electronic effect units to ...

Black Emperor, released on 22 September 2017 by Constellation Records Background According to the Constellation Records one sheet about the album, ''Luciferian Towers'' was made "in the midst of communal mess, raising dogs and children. The album was recorded with Electrical Audio engineer Greg Norman in North Carolina and Montreal, and was the first to feature completely new material since the band's reformation in 2010. 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!
''Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!'' (sometimes stylized in ''all caps'') is the fourth studio album by Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor, released by Constellation Records. It was their first album since 2002's ''Yanqui U.X.O.''. After reforming in 2010, the group went on tour and silently released the album at a concert in Boston on October 1, 2012, with official release dates on October 15 in Europe and the following day in other countries. The album received positive reviews and has been heralded as a comeback for the collective, winning the 2013 Polaris Music Prize. The album marked the beginning of a major stylistic change for Godspeed You! Black Emperor, being less technically complex and emphasizing further on drones while abandoning the concept of movements altogether – a compositional format they would continue to employ until 2021's ''G_d's Pee at State's End!''. Reception ''Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!'' received positive reviews from critics. ...

People from the United States of America are known as and refer to themselves as Americans. Different languages use different terms for citizens of the United States. All forms of English refer to US citizens as Americans, a term deriving from the United States of America, the country's official name. In the English context, it came to refer to inhabitants of British America, and then the United States. However, there is some linguistic ambiguity over this use due to the other senses of the word ''American'', which can also refer to people from the Americas in general. Other languages, including Japanese, and Russian, use cognates of American to refer to people from the United States, while others, like French, or particularly Spanish and Portuguese, primarily use terms derived from United States. There are various other local and colloquial names for Americans. The name America probably came from the Italian navigator Amerigo Vespucci. Development of the term ''American'' ...

Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
''Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven'' (often shortened to ''Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven'', ''Lift Your Skinny Fists'', or ''LYSF''), or on the rear of physical releases, is the second studio album by Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor, released as a double album on October 9, 2000, on vinyl by Constellation and November 8, 2000, on CD by Kranky. It has been listed on multiple decade-end lists as one of the greatest albums of the 2000s. Structure and details The four tracks on ''Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven'' are composed of individually named internal movements. The album is primarily instrumental, except for sampled voice inserts and the one minute "Moya Sings 'Baby-O'...". The samples on the album are often used to send some satirical, political, or poetic message. The inner panels of the vinyl edition released by Constellation contain a diagram used to illustrate the relative lengths of movements within ...

Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada
''Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada'', also stylized as ''Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada'', is the only EP and second release by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. It was released on the Montreal-based record label Constellation Records in 1999, and was re-released by Kranky. Packaging The EP's packaging makes only sparing reference to either the band or the EP's title: the outer packaging does not make any reference to Godspeed, but mentions them in the liner notes; the EP's title is only shown on the spine of the CD pressing. The song titles are not listed anywhere on the cover. The cardboard album case is unusual in that it opens in the opposite direction of a conventional CD case; this is due to the Hebrew text being read from right to left. The front of the EP contains Hebrew characters , ('formless and empty'). This phrase is used in both Genesis 1:2 and Jeremiah 4:23, the former to describe the Earth before God separated light from dark and the latter to describe the Earth aft ...
